1	A series like ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars'' is pretty much made to appeal to fans of the HumongousMecha genre. As such, the mere inclusion of a fan's favorite show since they were a kid is enough to cause rejoicing.

5	** To put this into perspective, the hype regarding ''Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann'' was eclipsed by the other debuting series: ''Anime/DaiGuard'', ''Anime/ShinMazinger'', ''[[Anime/CodeGeass Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion]]'', ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam00'', and ''Anime/ArmoredTrooperVOTOMS'', the latter being one of the most wanted series in the past fifteen years. Then there's the fact the TV ''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundamWing New Mobile Report Gundam Wing]]'', ''Anime/{{Godmars}}'', ''Anime/MacrossFrontier'', [[Anime/{{Dancougar}} both]] [[Anime/DancougarNova Dancougars]] and ''[[Manga/GetterRobo Getter Robo Armageddon]]'' returning to the franchise, as well as almost ''every series from the previous game'' (with only two exceptions). The only quirky entry this time was ''Invincible Robo Trider G7'', which got some praise after Banpresto showed a completely unrelated cross series CombinationAttack between G7 and ''Anime/{{Zambot 3}}'' (such attacks have been wished for a while). Naturally, this cast listing was given the FanNickname "The Best Thing Ever".
