AmusingInjuries in webcomics.
----
* ''Webcomic/AGhostStory'' has a number of these, most notably a ghost whose death by explosives left him with a disfigured penis (mercifully not depicted, though the description is fairly straightforward).
* If [[http://xninjared.deviantart.com/art/Boys-versus-Girls-155645715 this comic]] is to be believed, getting slapped by a Pizza gives you bruises all over your body and a scratch.
* ''Webcomic/GirlGenius'' alternates between playing this straight for laughs (Othar Tryggvassen, GentlemanAdventurer! being [[spoiler:thrown out of a zeppelin]], and it's stated that he's survived worse) and subverting it for character consistency ([[http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20080220 this strip]] is Moloch von Zinzer playing the epic klutz, but the last panel shows Agatha looking shocked and worried, possibly because the last time they had seen one another they were pretending to be lovers).
** More likely, because Othar is the only person in the series explicitly MadeOfIron (though the Jagermonsters come close - Dimo's severed arm is played for laughs, too). Moloch was lucky.
* Black Mage of ''Webcomic/EightBitTheater'', first and foremost, as he is the universe's ButtMonkey, ChewToy and the FallGuy in one person: He gets [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2002/09/02/episode-189-do-not-keep-creep-near-open-flames/ beaten up by White Mage and her giant hammer]] [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2001/05/06/episode-026-hey-at-least-hes-persistent/ for being obnoxious]] [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2001/05/11/episode-028-ouch/ numerous times]], is used as part of a [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2006/02/28/episode-667-the-fighter-of-invention/ "Mage-Blade"]], [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2006/05/02/episode-690-practical-magic/ accidentally learns a spell]] [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2006/04/29/episode-689-backfire/ to eject his own entrails]], is foolishly [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2006/02/09/episode-659-my-new-sword-technique-is-unstoppable/ frozen in a block of ice]] and [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2006/02/11/episode-660-when-it-rains-it-pours/ has his arms cut off]] and [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2006/02/18/episode-663-surgical-precision/ re-attached by crochet]], has his [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2005/06/09/episode-561-making-an-example/ lungs filled with taffy]] by Sarda as an example to the other Light Warriors, gets [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2007/06/09/episode-856-its-a-shadow/ hit with Australia]] (Sarda at work again), [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2006/10/31/episode-763-going-for-the-hi-score/ gets hit with a tentacle monster]], becomes the [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2007/09/01/episode-888-pain-in-the-neck/ favorite target of Dragoon's spear]], and lately seems to [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2008/03/18/episode-968-a-spear-in-the-head-is-worth-two-in-the-bush/ cling to life just to spite White Mage]]... the list is endless. Oh, and he's a bleeder.
** Occasionally Red Mage and Thief are subjected to Amusing Injuries, too, especially [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2007/10/13/episode-906-fair-warning/ when Black Mage stabs Red Mage for being an annoying moron]] or [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2008/01/26/episode-947-mo-like-combustible-mage/ sets him on fire for standing on his face]]. Red Mage (who is a CloudCuckoolander who delusionally believes he is a character in a game of ''TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons'') was once actually eaten by a tentacle monster and had [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2006/10/10/episode-754-hes-gone-to-a-better-place/ his skeleton extracted through his mouth]], but he "forgot" to die [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2006/11/09/episode-767-emergence/ because he lost his pencil]] in the monster's innards and couldn't note down the damage on his character sheet. But then, this is the guy who thinks that [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2008/02/05/episode-951-when-life-gives-you-firelemons/ being on fire]] gives him a tactical advantage...
** Thief is generally good at evading misery, except when Berserker is involved, a circumstance that has left him [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2004/07/10/episode-440-berserkers-want-what-we-all-want-civilization/ running around with an axe in his head]] or [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2005/07/16/episode-577-so-many-warriors/ outright mutilated]].
--->'''Berserker:''' That's the spirit, old bean. Buck up. You've still got most of what may very well be your liver.
** Fighter is usually [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2007/07/28/episode-876-rise-and-shine/ oblivious to damage]] to the extend that he seems [[ContractualImmortality contractually invulnerable]] and mistakes [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2001/07/13/episode-055-meanwhile-back-in-corneria/ Black Mage's attempts to stab him]] in the head for demonstrations of friendship because, as Fighter affectionately points out, Black Mage with his "weak little wizard wrists" can't stab hard enough to pierce Fighter's armor class anyway.
*** Clearly, [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2007/08/25/episode-885-my-debating-technique-is-unstoppable/ Black Mage's aim has improved]].
*** But then, [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2006/03/11/episode-671-kick-off/ brain]] [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2007/08/21/episode-883-its-not-quite-brain-surgery-either/ injury]] had the paradoxical effect of making Fighter [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2007/08/23/episode-884-nipped-in-the-bud/ ''smarter'' rather than dumber]].
** ...and then there's the occasional instance (or hour) of unbearable pain for the Light Warriors when Sarda (a near-omnipotent immortal {{Jerkass}}) decides to screw with them [[http://www.nuklearpower.com/2007/06/05/episode-854-flim-fwam/ for his own amusement]].
* Gordon Frohman of ''Webcomic/{{Concerned}}'' (a comic based on, and made with, ''VideoGame/HalfLife2'') has survived just about everything that could possibly kill a player in that game, always played for cartoonish laughs. He was a zombie for a while, but got better then, too. [[spoiler: Cruelly subverted at the very end of the comic, when he falls from the roof of the Citadel tower and is KilledOffForReal.]]
** This is because [[spoiler: He had [[GodMode Buddha Mode]] activated the whole time and accidentally turned it off right at the end.]]
* Happens now and then in ''Webcomic/SluggyFreelance'', usually as a result of someone making Bun-Bun mad.
* Any harm involving Richard in ''Webcomic/LookingForGroup''. If he's the victim, expect a funny comment from him.
* ''ComicStrip/{{Nodwick}}'' - Many strips begin or end with the titular henchman completely wrapped in healing duct tape (in lieu of actual bandages). It actually quite effective; his employers frequently use him as a projectile or monster chow, and most of the humor comes from lines like "Can you lift my head? I need to spit out my kneecaps."
* Averted in ''Webcomic/MegaTokyo''. The writer specifically says he didn't want characters to be able to just shrug off injuries, regardless of how ridiculous they were, so early on Largo breaks his arm in a classic "funny injury" moment - and actually ''does'' spend six weeks in a cast.
** That being said, there is a scene early when Largo manages to top himself. While playing Mosh Mosh Revolution (DDR with punk music), he overcomes the broken leg he received after jumping out a window only to have the leg twist and break again, leading him to catastrophically face-plant the machine. Later on, he's seen getting around on crutches and, while we don't see his face, it is clear a few comics after that he's just fine.
** Then there's [[ButtMonkey Ed]]. His pain is a SerialEscalation starting from having his face maimed to taking a fifty-foot turtle to the head to suffering an almost-kill from the TPCD's satellite laser. This is mostly brought on himself for his attempts to obtain Ping and, while it does appear that he's out of the game while he heals, it generally isn't for very long. Even though one return required him to be regrown from whatever cells Sony could scrounge after the laser incident.
** Back to Largo, in recent pages (starting from about 2014 and currently ongoing), Piro gets so angry with Largo's antics that he busts Largo in the face. Since then, he has been seen with bandages over his nose. Bonus points for in-universe invocation; during a subsequent crisis, Largo amuses a panicked hospital crowd with his injury to keep people distracted. [[BloodyHilarious Some of the background dialogue indicates that he is purposefully causing his face to spurt blood.]]
* A general rule of thumb for ''Webcomic/LasLindas'' is that Miles + pain = instant comedy.
* The end result of the Demonic Duck from ''Webcomic/ElGoonishShive'' jumping out of [[http://www.egscomics.com/?date=2010-05-03 a moving car]].
* Sometimes in ''Webcomic/CyanideAndHappiness'', including awkward [[http://www.explosm.net/comics/1492/ self]]-[[http://www.explosm.net/comics/1496/ inflicted]] cases.
* ''Webcomic/TheCartoonChroniclesOfConroyCat'' does this. Kind of frequently, too.
* Frequent in ''Webcomic/TheOrderOfTheStick'', particularly with [[HeroicComedicSociopath Belkar]] as the [[ButtMonkey target]]. In particular, Vaarsuvius loves casting Explosive Runes on him.
* In ''Webcomic/SeventySeas'', [[{{Ninja}} Nikol]] casually [[https://web.archive.org/web/20140902043107/http://70-seas.com/?p=486 unsnaps]] a monk's neck after being informed that 'Think you could have messed that guy up more?' was not a request.
* Early on in ''Webcomic/CommanderKitty'', a TeleporterAccident [[http://www.commanderkitty.com/2009/03/08/transporter-problems/ disassembles CK in transit]], forcing [[http://www.commanderkitty.com/2009/03/15/some-assembly-required/ Socks to put him back]] [[http://www.commanderkitty.com/2009/03/22/oh-very-nice/ together like a Lego figure]].
* ''Webcomic/{{Matchu}}'' has fallen through numerous floors, had a UFO land on top of him, got struck by lightning twice, got hit by a flaming Christmas tree shot out of a cannon through his window, got an [[AnvilOnHead anvil on the head]], been launched from his bed into the wall, and caught up in a NoodleIncident involving [[NoodleImplements a bank robbery, an escaped giraffe and a car fire.]]
** His love interest and {{Deuteragonist}} Amber fares no better, being elecrocuted, crushed and mummified in duct tape.
* ''Webcomic/GoneWithTheBlastwave'' is fond of seeing people get hurt for the sake of comedy, often at the expense of Pyro or one of the other Reds. [[ArtisticLicenseGunSafety Irresponsible gun usage]] is just the tip of the iceberg.
-->''"Friendly fire you goddamn son of a b--"''
* ''Webcomic/KillSixBillionDemons'': MonsterClown Gog-Agog is frequently on the receiving end of these. Being a MadGod HiveMind WormThatWalks, none of it ever sticks and Gog-Agog doesn't even seem to mind.
* ''Webcomic/TheNuzlockeDuo'': Main character Dylan's defining trait is that he was cursed as a child, causing him to become a magnet for injuries of the amusing variety. Every page, he suffers from some form of pain: electrocution, being blasted with flames, getting crushed, hit in the groin, or being punched are usually the main forms that he endures.
