* In ''Manga/AimForTheAce'', the beautiful star player Reika Ryuuzaki starts out acting like this, being the queen bee and at first angered that a newcomer like Hiromi could possibly have made the top five, but she warms up to her eventually.
* Elizabeth Westbrook from the manga ''Manga/AmazingAgentLuna''. She's blonde, rich, and completely spoiled. She seems to hate the main character for no real reason other than jealousy. Notably one of her girl posse, Francesca, befriends Luna(the protagonist) early on and later another one(Heather)dates Luna's other friend Oliver.
* Mitsuko Souma from ''Literature/BattleRoyale'', though since the students are involved in a DeadlyGame, [[TheVamp she's a bit more violent than is usual for the trope]].
%%* ''Manga/BlackButler'': Despite being male Maurice Cole counts.
* Anna Maria from ''Anime/BloodPlus'' is a poster girl for this trope, despite not having a very large part in the series. A RichBitch, her own posse of female followers, the teacher's pet, and being unreasonably rude and bullying. Naturally, she gets a slap to the face when [[PrinceCharming Solomon]] invites Saya to dance instead of her.
* In the ''Manga/{{Bokurano}}'' manga, Mako Nakarai has to deal with an Alpha Bitch that harasses her for being [[SonOfAWhore the daughter of an ex-prostitute.]] [[spoiler: After Mako spectacularly calls her and her boyfriend out before her deadly battle, we see that the Alpha Bitch has had [[CharacterDevelopment a change of heart]].]]
* Eliza Reagan from ''Manga/CandyCandy'' is perpetually giving Candy and her friends a lot of troubles [[ForTheEvulz for her own amusement on seeing people suffer]] and [[RichBitch her wealth and family prestige]] [[ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney usually gives her more excuses to get away from her troubles]]. She only gets [[KarmaHoudini very limited comeuppances]], but the ''extremely'' few times she does [[HumiliationConga tend to be pretty spectacular]].
* Katherina Sforza from the Nunnally-centered ''Anime/CodeGeass'' manga ''Manga/CodeGeassNightmareOfNunnally''. She and the GirlPosse get [[HumiliationConga embarrassingly]] punished by Nunners's classmate Alice, though.
* ''Anime/{{Daltanious}}'': [[AlienPrincess Princess Catine]] is the daughter of the King of Proxia and bullies Sanae Shiratori for being a "servant girl". When Sanae retorts she's not one, Catine remarks that because of how her clothes look, she easily confused her for one. In actuality, Catine is jealous of Sanae as she thinks that [[HalfHumanHybrid Kento]] has eyes for her, despite the fact that it is her own pushy behaviour that [[{{Pun}} alienates]] him from her. When she finds out that Kento is a clone (and not really the heir to the Heliosian throne like she hoped), she's enraged and calls off all plans of wooing him - confirming that she never loved him and only saw him as a meal ticket because of his AlienPrince status.
* ''Anime/{{Daimos}}'' has [[AliensAreBastards Raiza]], who, on top of being an AlphaBitch, is in cahoots with the the fascist [[AngelicAliens Baam]] [[TheEmpire Empire]]. Her rap list includes using her knowledge as a scientist to create {{Robeast}}s and whipping her underlings. She gleefully aids Richter in killing Earthlings, as she has a crush on him, but dislikes his sister [[PrincessProtagonist Erika]] and considers her a traitor for [[StarCrossedLovers falling in love with a human]]. Once Erika is under her custody, she subjects the poor girl (alongside her best friend Cindy and her governess Margarete) to extreme torture.
* ''Franchise/{{Danganronpa}}'' has [[spoiler:the [[BigBad Ultimate Despair Junko Enoshima]]]] fit this trope to a T; [[spoiler:a {{Gyaru}} supermodel and [[TheFashionista fashionista]] who's just as sadistic, manipulative, and abusive as she is popular, attractive and rich]]. In fact, [[spoiler:she uses her “queen bee” skills to create the [[NebulousEvilOrganization Ultimate Despair]] and bring down global society and usher in an age of {{dystopia}}, with her as its EvilOverlord.]]
* ''Manga/DearBrother'':
** Aya Misaki, in all her bitchy, slanderous "glory". Poor Nanako and Mariko. [[spoiler: Uncommonly for the trope, in the TV series she's given a FreudianExcuse (deep, ''deep'' [[HeroicSelfDeprecation insecurities and self-hate]]) ''and'', by almost the end, she pulls a HeelFaceTurn.]]
** [[spoiler:Fukiko "Miya-sama" Ichinomiya, whose minions include, oh, the entire snotty Sorority,]] is another example, though her bitchiness doesn't show until the later chapters. [[spoiler: Just like Aya, Fukiko is WAY more bitchy in the manga than the anime.]]
* [[TerribleTrio The Ganguro Girls]] from ''Literature/{{Durarara}}''. While they're not rich (if episode 6 is anything to go by, they're dirt ''poor''), they have all the traits of this character; they take delight in tormenting the female lead Anri Sonohara, are catty and rude to everyone they meet, and are all around nasty and unlikable people. [[spoiler: Is it any wonder that [[{{Yandere}} the Slasher]] decided to target them]]?
* Motoko Minagawa from ''Manga/FruitsBasket'' plays with the trope. She's a haughty girl with an [[StalkerWithACrush obsessive crush on]] Yuki Sohma and a GirlPosse who's jealous of Tohru for being so close to Yuki and constantly plots to get rid of her; however, she doesn't seem to be particularly popular at school. She's not from a rich or influential family, either, since her parents are greengrocers. [[spoiler:However, Motoko later gets some character development where she realizes that she hates herself much more than she hates Tohru, and she eventually gives up on Yuki after finally confessing to him on her graduation day.]]
* Reiko Komori, one of Mamoru's friends in ''Anime/GaoGaiGar'', seems to be a younger, nicer version of this. The claws only come out on Sunou, one of their other friends, to one-up him whenever he starts bragging.
* ''Manga/GreatTeacherOnizuka'' has quite a few of them, but Miyabi Aizawa tops them all.
%% * Shute Sutherland is a male example in ''Literature/HarukaNogizakasSecret''. He's hardly seen without his [[GirlPosse Boy Posse]].
* ''Anime/HellGirl'' has a lot of these, at least in the beginning of the series. And they receive their comeuppance. Boy, do they ever.
** The worst of them is Aya Kuroda from the anime's very first episode. She not only bullies her rival Mayumi Hashimoto, but she frames her for embezzlement, forces her into CompensatedDating to earn the money back, and ''blackmails her with photos of her "illegal/immoral behavior"''. Aya “promised” Mayumi she wouldn’t tattle on her unless she complained with her threats, only to go back on her word and reveal all the dirt in their principal [[ForTheEvulz Because she saw it as too funny to see Mayumi suffer]]. Seeing her get DraggedOffToHell is quite satisfying, even if Mayumi must also suffer the same fate when she dies.
** Later, we meet Shiori Akasaka, who leaves her friend Minami and gets "chosen" to go to Hell, [[spoiler:but later, they get reconciled and try to send their rival alpha bitches to Hell instead. That does NOT end well.]]
** And later, [[spoiler:it's subverted: young Maki is being bullied by a secret stalker... and it turns out to be ''her teacher'' Kamishiro. She ends up in Hell.]]
* ''Anime/HelloSandybell'': [[ViolentGlaswegian Kitty]] [[SpoiledBrat Shearer]]. She is stuck-up, aggressive and rude and frequently bullies Sandybell, from trying to ruin her reputation in front of Mark, getting a GangOfBullies to harass her and rubbing her wealth in her face. She's cruel to Sandybell even after her father dies, and when Sandybell starts working at Ronwood's newspaper company, and she gets her daddy to use his wealth to ensure she gets a high ranking position there. [[spoiler: Kitty eventually reforms and becomes Sandybell's friend as they work together to stop a drug organization in Athens, and she has a JerkassRealization regarding her actions. She gives Sandybell and Mark her blessing, and pursues a new romance with Alec, the man who saved her from being kidnapped]].
* ''Manga/HikariNoDensetsu'': Megumi Mita is a competitive girl in the gym club who hates Hikari and wants to prove she's better than her. Before Hikari joined, she was Aikoh Academy's second best athlete after Shiina, and now that she's third place she constantly tries to take the spotlight back from her.
* ''Anime/KazeNoShojoEmily'': Rhoda Stewart. She has a nasty attitude towards her classmates and always wants to best them, no matter what. She especially hates Emily because her writing talents are something her daddy's money can't affect, and makes it her mission to make her school life as miserable as possible. Whenever any student shows signs of being more academically gifted than her, she views them as TheRival.
* Mao, an anime-only character in ''Manga/{{Kekkaishi}}'', was apparently created to serve as Alpha Bitch for leading girl Tokine in that she flaunts her wealth and makes catty comments about her. [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]] because Tokine isn't really affected by her snarky comments.
* ''Anime/KillLaKill'':
** Honnouji Academy is a whole school of alpha bitches, run by BigBad and top bitch Satsuki Kiryuin. In an ironic twist, [[spoiler:while they are genuinely alpha bitches, they're working for the greater good of stopping Satsuki's EvilMatriarch [[TheManBehindTheMan Ragyo Kiryuin]] from literally destroying the world. They get much better after revealing their intentions to save the world, which allows them to talk about their serious issues.]]
** [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} Mako]] has her own episode where she slowly turns into one but stops herself near the end.
** [[TheDragon Nui Harime]] is a [[BitchInSheepsClothing lone-wolf]] alpha bitch, constantly insulting/degrading the cast while blocking their PowerArmor augmented attacks without wearing PowerArmor.
* Kurumi from ''Manga/KimiNiTodoke'' gossips about, befriends, and manipulates the kindhearted and naive protagonist to get a boy to like her. Her comeuppance arrives when a comic relief P.E. teacher thinks Kurumi has the hots for him. Afterward, she actually receives some of the most noteworthy CharacterDevelopment in the series, becoming a LovableAlphaBitch and later a straight-up friend and study buddy to the protagonist.
* ''Manga/KitchenPrincess'' The popular girl and model Akane Kishida initially fell under this trope before [[HeelFaceTurn turning face and becoming Najika's friend]]; she constantly framed the GenkiGirl heroine for things that weren't her fault. The WoundedGazelleGambit was one of her favorite cards to play, and her posse fell for it every time. Despite Akane eventually befriending Najika, her posses continue to bully Najika.
* ''Manga/KyoKoiOHajimemasu'': Arisa and her posse react ''very'' badly when they find out the main character has become the resident playboy's girlfriend, going so far as to physically assault and bully her. She later employs two thugs to scare Hibino, but, to her horror, they try to rape her. This shakes her, making her apologise.
* Manami Anzai from ''Manga/Life2002'', and her GirlPosse, are this to extreme degrees. Manami is TheFakeCutie who hides her bullying behind a sweet persona. She befriends Ayumu before turning on her for supposedly trying to steal her boyfriend. When angered she acts above and beyond. She attempts to murder Ayumu, tries to make her swallow needles, gets her boyfriend beaten up when she believes he's cheating on her (nevermind the fact that she has a lover herself), and drives another student to attempt suicide in fear of her. She gets her rich dad to march into the school because [[WoundedGazelleGambit she made it look like Ayumu and her friend Miki are bullying her instead of the other way around]] (after an whole arc of almost succeeding in getting them gang-raped and murdered!) and she also gets a concerned teacher investigating the bullying fired.
* Michiyo in ''Manga/{{Mahoraba}}'' acts like The Alpha Bitch {{Ojou}} to Asami [[spoiler:out of insecurity. She really wants to be friends with Asami.]]
* ''Anime/MyOtome'':
** Shiho Huit fills this role in the anime, playing tricks on Arika and the other Corals and looking down on them because of their status.
** [[spoiler:Tomoe Marguerite]] is a more traditional Alpha Bitch, with a young hanger-on named Miya whom she verbally and physically abuses [[DevilInPlainSight when no one else is looking]]. She's even tried to [[spoiler:kill Arika and her friends]] on a few occasions.
** The show also has Queen Mashiro, a RoyalBrat who isn't even a student at the academy, but will skirt her administrative duties and visit there just to mock and laugh at Arika whenever she does something wrong. [[spoiler: Unlike Tomoe, Mashiro goes through quite the BreakTheHaughty, and eventually wises up.]]
* ''Manga/{{Lady}}'':
** Mary Waverly is Madeleine's daughter and very haughty about being a Waverly. She met Lynn when her mother wanted to marry Lynn's father, George, and found her innocent nature annoying and ripe for pranking. When George isn't home and Madeleine is, her bullying of Lynn turns from subtle to outright aggressive. Because she is spoiled by Madeleine's money, Mary has never faced consequences for her behaviour and repeatedly gets away with taunting her.
** Sonoko Ichijuuin from the manga. She has a reputation at her school for being a competition freak and a nightmare. Even her own cousin hates her and her only friend, Mary, only cares about her because they both have an agenda towards crushing Lynn.
* ''Anime/LesMiserablesShojoCosette'': Eponine as a child deconstructs this. While she's basically the princess when her parents are around, it's shown that she has difficulty making friends or being liked in more normal social situation due to her haughty demeanor. Ultimately, this, coupled with many people around Montfermeil enjoying Cosette's friendliness and treating her nicely (despite Eponine having been conditioned all her young life to consider Cosette scum), only further fuels her own insecurities and the resentment of Cosette that would last into both girls' adulthoods.
* ''Anime/MischievousTwinsTheTalesOfStClares'': Madeleine. She is one of the most popular students of the school and loves bullying the first formers. She often makes passive-aggressive comments about their appearances, and gets her GirlPosse to join too. Despite how badly she treats them, many girls still vy for her approval because they want to be a part of her clique.
* ''Manga/{{Murcielago}}'': In the School Destruction arc (Volume 6) we're introduced to the lovely Fuuri-chan, a bully who's frightened a [[GirlPosse trio of girls]] into submission ([[DirtyCoward if one of them is to be believed, anyways]]). Not only does she target the [[ShrinkingViolet shy]] Minako, she's even posing as her [[BitchInSheepsClothing protective girlfriend.]]
* Catarina Claes in ''Literature/MyNextLifeAsAVillainessAllRoutesLeadToDoom'', a daughter of a duke and the betrothed of the third prince of the Sorcier Kingdom, was ''supposed'' to grow up into one of these as per the storyline of the otome game ''Fortune Lover'', but since the recovery of her PastLifeMemories, she recognizes her role and takes conscious action to avert becoming one. Because if she does, she'll end up getting either murdered or exiled by her fiancé (who is clearly unhappy of being engaged to her due to this trope) or by her adoptive brother (who hated her guts due of being a horrible stepsister to him). Instead, she ends up becoming ridiculously sweet, friendly, and stupid, which is the fundamental premise of the series, causing tremendous changes in the [[ScriptBreaking relationship dynamics of the characters.]]
** Since this series' Catarina didn't become Maria Campbell (the original protagonist of the otome game)'s tormentor, the unnamed noblewomen who bully the latter become this trope instead due of her commoner status and the fact that she possesses [[LightEmUp rare and powerful magic]]. Unfortunately for those noblewomen, they are nothing compared to a duke's daughter as Catarina uses her status along with some application of common sense and conscience to tell Maria's bullies to scram or face consequences.
* ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'': When she was younger, Sakura was bullied by a trio of Alpha Bitches for her big forehead. Later, after they become rivals, Ino becomes something of an Alpha Bitch, but she [[CharacterDevelopment soon grows out of it]] and they become best friends again.
* In ''Manga/NegimaMagisterNegiMagi'', after Yue gets LaserGuidedAmnesia, she ends up enrolling in a Magic School and has to deal with one of these, Emily Sevensheep. They [[FireForgedFriends get along better after that]] incident with the griffin dragon. [[spoiler:And later, Emily dies (or better said, is written out of existence) in Yue's arms. She got better thanks to Asuna's WorldHealingWave.]]
* ''Anime/NobaraNoJulie'': Caroline is the richest girl in Julie's class, and makes fun of her and Tina for being poor. She's especially mean to Julie for being a CountryMouse from Tyrol, while her and the school are upper-class Viennese. She is also angry when Julie is elected the lead singer at the church, and tries to boycott it using her father's influence.
* Miyuki from ''Manga/NurseAngelRirikaSOS'' is a grade schooler example. She has a GirlPosse and dislikes Ririka for both being what she considers a "barbarian" and being close to her crush Kanou. Despite normally being mean and clingy she has [[HiddenDepths a nice side]] and has LonelyRichKid traits.
* Tamaki Reika from ''Anime/OjamajoDoremi'', though she has a bit of a FreudianExcuse. ([[spoiler:After she got serious burns as a baby thanks to her BumblingDad leaving a cup of hot coffee within her reach, he swore to never again make Reika cry...[[SpoiledBrat but ended up]] [[DaddysGirl spoiling her rotten.]]]])
* Subverted in ''Manga/{{Ojojojo}}''. Haru tries to gain everybody's affection with her wealth and status, but her arrogant personality turns them all away ''very'' quickly. As a result, she had to constantly change schools before the story started. As the story progresses, she manages to develop into a LovableAlphaBitch (minus the alpha part).
* Queen Barby from ''Anime/PantyAndStockingWithGarterbelt'', who runs the school that Panty and Stocking are infiltrating in one episode (it's even explicitly stated that the weak-willed principal barely has any control compared to her). [[spoiler: She turns out to be one of the Ghosts Panty and Stocking are after: a literal Queen Bee.]]
* Sae from ''Anime/PeachGirl''. She's Momo's main love rival, and is especially good at doing nasty things to Momo while [[WoundedGazelleGambit making herself look innocent]].
* ''Anime/PokemonTheSeries'':
** Ursula, one of Dawn's rivals, especially in the later episodes of ''[[Anime/PokemonTheSeriesDiamondAndPearl Diamond and Pearl]]''.
** Also Giselle from [[Anime/PokemonTheOriginalSeries the original series]] episode "The School of Hard Knocks", though she's a LovableAlphaBitch by the episode's end.
** Harley from ''[[Anime/PokemonTheSeriesRubyAndSapphire Ruby and Sapphire]]'' is a male example towards May and is her rival. He would go out his way to humiliate May and make her miserable.
* ''Manga/PrivateActress'' gives us the very soft-spoken very smiley and ''very'' unsettling Kana Juumonji [[spoiler: later known as Satoka Ryoudou]] from the BoardingSchool case. She completely dominates a group of girls from her school for rich kids, to the point of [[spoiler: making the girls accomplices and instruments to her ''[[SerialKiller many]]'' crimes.]] She is also the teachers's darling and given leeways that the other students don't have, [[spoiler: probably because one of her victims was a teacher.]]
* Subverted in ''Anime/RedGarden''. One of the StudentCouncil members constantly complained about how the protagonist was being treated with kid gloves for her constant absences and tardies, and is seen several times spying on her, as if for blackmail material...then, in an emotional scene, she reveals that she's been ''worried'' about the protagonist for a long time, and wanted to help her with whoever is hurting her.
* Nanami Kiryuu from ''Anime/RevolutionaryGirlUtena''. In the manga, Nanami only appears in a photo, so Juri takes her place as Alpha Bitch.
* Toka from ''Manga/{{Saki}}'', though she does have a soft side.
* Kanako Kawamori from ''Manga/SakuraGari''.
* Otome Kato from ''VisualNovel/SchoolDays''. Slightly subverted as she's a sports idol and not a RichBitch or cheerleader.
* ''Manga/SgtFrog'': Natsumi's 'school rival' [[OjouRinglets Imogo]] [[NoblewomansLaugh Rie]].
* Aki Honda from ''Manga/ShadowStar'', despite not being rich, graduates from criminal harassment to [[spoiler:''sodomy'' and ''rape'']]. She meets a very nasty end when her favorite victim, [[spoiler:local LonelyRichKid Hiroko Kaizuka]], gets her [[{{Mon}} Shadow Dragon]] and ''brutally'' murders Aki and her GirlPosse in what proves to be her StartOfDarkness. It shows that in a series like ''Shadow Star'', alpha bitches have ''extremely'' short lifespans.
* Saaya Yamabuki from ''Manga/ShugoChara''; mostly played for laughs.
* Kafuko from ''Anime/SpacePirateMito'', complete with a GirlPosse, [[RichBitch a sense of entitlement]], and [[{{Tsundere}} a not-so-secret crush]] on the protagonist.
* ''Anime/StrainStrategicArmoredInfantry'' adds Isabella to the list of characters that it [[AnyoneCanDie kills off]], but her even worse successor, Mariette, makes it through to the end of the series. Oddly, Lavinia, who is named after the Alpha Bitch of ''Literature/ALittlePrincess'', is the furthest thing from being an Alpha Bitch herself, being head-over-heels for protagonist Sarah.
* Catherine and Jeanne, Cinderella's stepsisters in ''Anime/TheStoryOfCinderella'' are an Alpha Bitch ''duo''.
* ''Literature/TanteiTeamKZJikenNote'': Naho Takeda is this towards the socially misfit ClassRepresentative Aya, complete with GirlPosse. Her most visible acts in the anime is setting the class to [[StockShoujoBullyingTactics ignore Aya]]; Sunahara's breaking it is the ''single'' act that brought forward Aya's crush on him.
* Kamina of ''Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann'' is a male aversion. While Simon is staring at his shiny new MacGuffin, he (literally) bumps into Kamina hanging out with his two buddies. This is generally the part of the episode where the MacGuffin is stolen, and the hero spends the rest of the episode trying to get it back, until bad guys show up and he uses it to save the day. Instead, [[EstablishingCharacterMoment Kamina just smiles, says "It looks good on you," and insists Simon call him "bro."]]
* Tenjouin Saki of ''Manga/ToLoveRu'' is a stark subversion: while she meets almost all of the standard Alpha Bitch traits, right down to the NoblewomansLaugh and OjouRinglets, [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold she has a very human side]]; she obtained one of the girls in her GirlPosse by [[PetTheDog rescuing her from bullies]]. She is legitimately kind to [[TrueCompanions her friends]], and to [[MoralityPet her servants]].
* Ami of ''Literature/{{Toradora}}'', who usually hides her bitchiness behind a saccharine mask of sweetness until she feels she can get away with it. She does get CharacterDevelopment, though, switching to LovableAlphaBitch. Being a very popular teen model, she's used to various people fawning over her and such. But, ''because'' she's a model, they expect her to be the cute, sunny, eternally bubbly girl she's often portrayed as. [[KnightInSourArmor And she's sick of it.]]
* Thunderblast from ''Anime/TransformersCybertron''. It certainly isn't everyday that a Decepticon makes her comrades look tame by comparison.
-->'''Thunderblast:''' Scourge, if there is one girl around here that's gonna boss you around, it's gonna be me.\
'''Scourge:''' But Thunderblast, [Lori is] picking o--\
'''Thunderblast:''' [[Main/SuddenlyShouting QUIT SNIVELING, YA BIG WEENIE!!!]]
* ''VisualNovel/UminekoWhenTheyCry'': Poor Ange has to deal with whole ''class'' of them, all because they don't like her [[PerpetualFrowner personality]], which apparently spoils their mood. [[spoiler:Alternately, they're the LovableAlphaBitch type... and Ange is the one causing trouble. Remember, we only see things from Ange's perspective: the girls are ''[[OhCrap HORRIFIED]]'' by her breakdown, and [[ValuesDissonance the school in itself relies on group punishment]]! So they ''may'' have gotten way ahead of their league, with all the horrible results that came.]]
* ''Anime/UmiMonogatari'' has Oshima, who acts haughty around Kanon and is obsessed with winning over Kojima. However, she has hidden depths.
* [[spoiler:Sara]] is a subtle version in ''Manga/VampireKnight''.
* Princess Millerna starts out as the Alpha Bitch in ''Anime/TheVisionOfEscaflowne'', but [[CharacterDevelopment grows out of it]].
* In the manga version of ''Manga/YuGiOhGX'', Seika Kohinata fills this role. Unlike most examples of this Trope, she has the skills to back up her ego. (In her one duel with Judai, she honestly wasn't bad.)
* Miya Koshiro (a.k.a. The "Heiress") in ''Manga/YumeiroPatissiere''.
