Lothar is equally protective of his crazy mercenary family -- he and Rogue nearly killed each other when Rogue refused to believe Kyle selling weapons to cultists was just a stupid mistake and threatened to kill him and Lothar's dad.

36	** While Duane was no longer in his best fighting trim after he retired from an active military position and became a father he was still possibly the most dangerous wright in Alderode at the time of his assassination, managing to kill a slew of his attackers despite having to protect his daughter and being attacked by a group specially selected to kill him with anti-wright weaponry, having the entire neighborhood under their sway to improve their chances and paying off [[spoiler:his own brother]] to ensure he wouldn't get any help. The incredibly skilled Black Tongue behind his death, who had mastered skills said to be impossible for wrights, refused to be anywhere near while the attack was happening because he knew he couldn't hope to survive a fight with him.
37	** Lemuel is still an active [[DragonRider Vliegeng rider]] and tied for possibly to most dangerous non-wright fighters in the entire setting with his pair of swords and clever use of pymarics, and has at least two kids [[spoiler:since he married Duane's widow and adopted his children.]] He's still borderline unhinged in battle as well.
38	** Toma is a storied Queen's Peaceguard Captain whose seen as a heroic figure in Cresce for his many successful exploits, and proves time and time again to be good strategist, and canny fighter. He's also a father, and his daughter seems to be the only thing he is actually fond of to come from his marriage to a noblewoman.
39	** Quigley may not be winning any father of the year awards but he's survived multiple suicide attacks against small Aldish and Crescian forces while carrying his son on his back.
40	* In ''Webcomic/{{Wigu}}'', Quincy Tinkle may be a happy, somewhat dumb guy, but if Wigu or Paisley are harmed he will go to great lengths to get revenge. To date, Quincy has [[spoiler:annihilated an alien insect that bit Wigu, fought off a group of Plesiosaurs with nothing but a knife when they attacked the Tinkle family van, and almost murdered Hamburglar after the latter hospitalized Wigu.]]
