* In VisualNovel/InvisibleApartment, Kacey changes her hair colour to help disguise herself, but doesn't stick to natural shades. She starts the first game with purple hair, but has gone green by the end of it. (The prequel and sequel show her with black and blonde hair, though.)

* Somewhat Trope in KatawaShoujo, where most characters have perfectly ordinary brown, blonde or red hair, and Misha's bright pink is immediately noticed as unusual . However, the hair color spectrum is still a bit too wide for a Japanese school, and some of the darker-haired characters have natural blue or purple highlights.

* Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni: Hinamizawa seems to run off this, with each family having a weird hair colour; the Sonozaki women (Mion, Shion, Akane) have mint-green hair, the Furude women (Rika and her mother) have various shades of blue; Rika's mother has a darker shade, closer to black; , Rena has orange-brown hair (which could be auburn, or ginger, but either way is unusual considering the game is set in Japan), and all of the Houjou family (including extended family) are blondes (a real-life hair colour, but like Rena's, it's still unusual given the setting).

* VisualNovel/FateStayNight especially loves characters with purple and blue hair. The human characters include Shinji (blue) and his sister Sakura (purple), and their father also sported blue hair. Four of the seven servants also have hairstyles in varying hues of blue (Lancer, Assassin) and purple (Caster, Rider). Main protagonist Emiya Shirou is a redhead despite being ethnically Japanese. And yet, only Saber's blonde hair ever gets commented on by other characters, usually when they're discussing how much she sticks out as an obvious foreigner in town.

* Even though the Franchise/AceAttorney series takes place in a fairly realistic universe, no one seems to feel the need to comment on the hair colors of Franziska, April, Vera, Redd, or Lisa Basil (metallic blue, pink, dark blue, purple, and electric blue, respectively). While Redd and April could've dyed theirs, and Lisa's could just be part of her gimmick, Franziska's and Vera's hair really has no explanation. And that's not even getting into some hair styles that seem to completely defy the laws of physics.

She tells the others she did this after losing a bet, but doesn't seem to mind.

* In VisualNovel/HatofulBoyfriend the majority of characters are birds, but they have noncanon moe anthromorphizations who sometimes have unusual hair colors. In Ryouta's and Anghel's cases, blue and teal respectively, it's probably a more high-contrast version of their actual plumage, which is sort of blue-gray. Nageki's green hair may be a reference to the blue-green ring around his eyes. But two white doves are shown as humans with pale blue hair.
