* ActingForTwo: Because of the budget, the actors often performed more than one role. A very notable example is that the same actor who voiced Mayor Martinez also voiced previous Zorros whenever one showed up, which could create some really weird dissonance.

* SpecialEffectsFailure: While the animation was far from great, it was usually at the very least competent... with the exception of the Tornado Z, which was almost always ''very'' ConspicuousCG.

* NarmCharm: While not a CultClassic, the show had a fair share of fans and is surprisingly remembered for such a shoddy and short-lived productiob.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: As with other Rick Ungar shows, one has to wonder what could have resulted from mixing the show's premise along with a more decent budget and writers. Back in the show's heyday, particularly in countries where the Zorro franchise is still part of pop culture, there were people genuinely intrigued with its plot being the ''WesternAnimation/BatmanBeyond'' version of Zorro and actually wanting to see it well done.

* CompleteMonster: [[InsaneAdmiral Admiral Rodriguez]], from "The Rival", is a corrupt Navy officer who was forced into early retirement by automation-induced downsizing. Becoming obsessed with proving that he was still a force to be reckoned with, Rodriguez sets out to get revenge for his dismissal by orchestrating a series of deadly attacks against Pablo Grande. After his men steal tons of munitions, Rodriguez has the ammo loaded onto a galleon, which will be rammed into the city's naval base. Once the base is blown up and hundreds are dead, Rodriguez will deliver his coup de grâce using [[KillSat hijacked satellite missiles]] that will annihilate all of Pablo Grande, killing thousands more. When a subordinate suggests that they evacuate the rigged galleon early due to the presence of Zorro and the Scarlet Whip, Rodriguez reveals that the escape submarine only holds one, and that it had been his plan all along to abandon his crew--which included his own nephew--to [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness die in the terrorist attacks]].

The Fearsome Four have gray skin, pointed ears pointy ears, FemmeFatalons, and weird gas mask-like things over [=HAZMAT=]-like masks that electronically distort their faces at all times. Nobody mentions voices. The closest that anyone ever comes to commenting on any of this and an explanation is never even attempted.Maria offhandedly referring to them as "creatures."
** The weird, lion-like roar that Jack lets out when Diego insults his mother in "Poll Axed."
