* FreudWasRight (or VisualInnuendo):
** Creedence seduces Brent with an ear of corn, and popcorn was flying everywhere, filling up the trailer. Oddly, the corn is used in a distinctly non-phallic way.
** And let's not even get into the Freudian/Lacanian connotations of Joshua seeing the [[{{Theatre/Hamlet}} ghost of a male progenitor]] in the ''mirror''.

** One very noticeable example in one scene: A Molotov Cocktail is thrown by Grandpa Seth, starting with a shot of him making a throwing motion, followed by a cut to a NonSequitur lightning-bolt on a black-screen repeated twice, then a cut to a shot of somebody holding a Molotov as if to say "This is the weapon.", then a yellow-hot explosion fills the screen, THEN a cut to the victim on fire burning to death. How exactly would a glass bottle shatter against the victim, and set their torso on fire?

* SequelDisplacement: The original ''Film/{{Troll}}'' was a real Hollywood production, but due to being utterly SoOkayItsAverage, it would be completely forgotten today if not for the fact that it had a NoBudget DolledUpInstallment CultClassic of a sequel. This is debatable, however, since its [[DuelingMovies counterpart]] ''Film/{{Leprechaun}}'' with Fonducaro's future ''Film/{{Willow}}'' co-star Warwick Davis is remembered as well.

Added DiffLines:

* {{Narm}}: As you can undoubtedly tell from a lot of the dialogue, the movie is filled with this, not just because of the actions of the characters but also because of a great deal of the dialogue ''was written in Italian and poorly translated'', making it sound very archaic at times (such as a character saying that she'd been "fasting" for two days when she said she hadn't eaten, and another saying "veritable" in what's basically ordinary conversation.)

* CriticalResearchFailure: Nilbog's residents are stated to be vegeterian, however, one scene has a resident complaining about eggs and coffee (but not milk). Vegeterians are actually people who refuse to eat meat, and only meat. Those who refuse to eat meat and dairy products are called ''Vegans''.

* TheyJustDidntCare: A revealing moment in ''Best Worst Movie'' has George Hardy re-enacting the fire extinguisher scene with Claudio Fragasso, only to ask how Michael would've known about the extinguisher and where it was located. Fragasso adamantly tells him it's not important. If he reacted that way two decades after the film was made, you can only imagine how much Fragasso said something like that during the actual filming.

** A film that mentions trolls in the title but doesn't actually have any fits the modern definition of {{Troll}} perfectly.
