* CompleteMonster: While most of this show’s villains had some form of redeeming quality, Helga Von Guggen was an exception. A {{greed}}y fashion designer, she makes [[GenuineHumanHide "seamless" fur coats]] by kidnapping innocent people, injecting them with a serum that turns them into PettingZooPeople, then [[FlayedAlive skinning them alive]] in what appears to be a giant industrial crusher. She brags about one of her coats, claiming that it's "genuine lawyer." She later designs a line of apparel that crushes people who wear them, with heavy implications that it manages to kill an innocent shopper [[KilledOffscreen off-screen]] just in the opening minutes of the episode it was introduced.

** Both "The Way You Play the Game" and "The Incredible Bulk" involve villains using artificial muscle enhancers, not something that's all-too funny these days. (Especially when one victim from the former is clearly in pain due to the treatment.)

** The three of them, as adults, are even roommates in an episode involving TimeTravel. (Although the younger Sam does express a little disappointment that her future self is unmarried.)

** FreudWasRight: Some fans even think that was the whole intent.

From the way people discuss the show you would think that was the whole intent. it's nothing but pandering to every fetish possible.

* FoeYayShipping: Sam/Tim Scam.Sam and recurring villain Tim Scam also seems to be a popular ship among the fans, given that it takes up a good chunk of the Totally Spies archive on FF.net.

* OneTrueThreesome: Sam/Alex/Clover ship. It doesn't help that most of the boys the three are interested in tend to be one-shots, bar their fellow spy Blaine.

* {{Narm}}: Just try to take Muffy Peprich from "Evil Sorority" seriously as a villain when she makes threats in a scratchy, high-pitched voice.

* WritersCannotDoMath: The girls were apparently 10 in the 80's. That would point them in their 30's by the time the show aired.
** Alternatively, the show could be set from the mid-to-late 1990s, just equipped with {{Anachronism Stew}}s.
** No it was most definitely the [[http://totallyspies.wikia.com/wiki/Futureshock! 2000s]]--the girls were probably 10 in the mid to late 1990s, and during that time, fashion-wise at least, some parts of the country were still kind of stuck in the 1980s. The outfits the girls wear mimic 2000s trends when not looking 60s mod or bohemian.
