** Timmy's Jerkass behavior in season 5 may have been caused by the episode "It's Wishful Life" where he finds out that the world was better without him and everyone didn't care about him. He must have felt hurt and humiliated, so he began acting like a {{Jerkass}} towards his godparents and friends out of anger from knowing that they don't care about him at all and wants revenge against them.

** Season 10 currently has a mixed reception among fans. Some think it's a return to form, albeit nowhere near as good as the original seasons, others consider it the final nail in the show's coffin, [[WereStillRelevantDammit especially with the usage of memes]] and the [[Main/ArtShift abrupt shift to Flash animation halfway through the season]], which, along with the move to Nicktoons Network for all new episodes and reruns, is being seen as signs of impending cancellation.

** The WonderfulLife Subversion "It's A Wishful Life": It claims that you shouldn't do things to get appreciated, but because they're the right thing to do. Parents all over the world would ''not'' be pleased to hear this, and for good reason - being appreciated means that people are grateful for the time and effort you put into doing nice things for them. Doubly so when Timmy himself did nice things for people for both the appreciation, and a simple "Thank You"!

** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahMQYsSVGO4 Pretty much the reason "It's a Wishful Life" is so infamous]]. Timmy Turner, a proxy for the kids in the audience, is told the world is better off without him. (Interestingly, the episode completely ignores Tootie, Trixie and Mark Chang...) And if that isn't enough, Jorgen tells Timmy the reason he's a victim of bullying and abuse is because he exists. In other words, blaming the victim. Made even worse by the fact that the things Jorgen shows him make no sense: Mr. and Mrs. Turner have a mansion and a daughter who's won several Academy Awards (which sends very... mixed messages), Francis is not a gray-skinned bully, AJ has a full head of hair and graduated from high school when he was 5, Crocker is a purple-haired Harvard professor, Chester has a triple-wide trailer on gold blocks and Cosmo and Wanda for Fairy Godparents (and ''they're'' happy they have an unselfish child who doesn't wear a pink hat), Vicky works in the hospital spraying laughing gas, Elmer doesn't have a boil on his nose, and the Chicago Cubs have won the World Series. The worst part? Remember the theme song: "Timmy is an average kid"? So, the world is better off without average kids? The other worst part? Jorgen sends people who made the world better by wishing they were never born (sacrificing their existence for the good of all) to what looks like ''{{Hell}}'' [[FateWorseThanDeath of all places]]. Jorgen is essentially goading [[DrivenToSuicide Timmy into committing suicide]] and therefore sending himself into Hell, all in the name of a particularly cruel test of character. Also, the amount of enjoyment he gets seeing Timmy suffering from seeing everyone he knows having a better life without him is uncomfortable, to say the least, and makes him appear as a full-blown case of GodIsEvil.

* AssPull: Lots of it. The show usually gets away with this through RuleOfFunny.

to:

* AssPull: Lots some of it. "Da Rules" seem to be made up on the spot to make sure Timmy can't just unwish his problems (all vocal wishes must be made in the voice of the godchild, no breakfast wishes after 10:30am, etc.). Most of Da Rules/the fairies' abilities do not apply to other episodes. Examples:
**
The show usually gets away ''No wishing for true love or wishing to break it'' line? Apparently this does not count at the end of "Wishology."
** {{Lampshade|Hanging}}d in one episode, "Movie Magic" (ironically enough, Timmy didn't want to use his fairies because he ''knew'' it was against the rules to use magic to win a competition):
--->'''Wanda''': True. But if you just ''happened'' to go where cool action stuff was happening...
--->'''Timmy''': (catching on) And I brought my film equipment
with me and just ''happened'' to catch something on film...
--->'''Cosmo''': And if I just happen to [[CuttingTheKnot tear
this through RuleOfFunny.page]] out of the rulebook that says we can't help you... ''[tears out page that reads "You can't help him."]''
** This has been happening frequently in the latest season, to the point it's gotten [[UpToEleven utterly ridiculous]]. One episode, for example, has Timmy unable to wish Sparky back into a dog because he's in love with being human, which somehow falls under "not being able to break true love".

** Chloe Carmichael. Many fans her as a [[MarySue Little Miss Perfect]] who makes Timmy look like even more of a loser by [[AlwaysSomeoneBetter comparison]] and who Timmy has to share his fairies with due to a "fairy shortage" despite her not meeting the requirement of being miserable (''especially'' when compared to Chester[[note]]Lives in poverty in a trailer with his dad, who has to wear a bag on his head because he's a disgraced and notoriously awful former baseball player[[/note]] or Tootie[[note]]''Lives under the same roof as Vicky'', no further explanation needed other than to say that "Birthday Wish" confirms that she's at least ''twice'' as miserable as Timmy is[[/note]]), and see her as annoying [[SpotlightStealingSquad spotlight stealing character]]. On the other hand, there are also fans who like that Chloe is a positive female character, since most of the other female characters are either {{Alpha Bitch}}es (Trixie), [[MoralEventHorizon irredeemable]] {{Jerkass}}es (Miss Doombringer and Vicky), borderline-criminal stalkers (Tootie), or were one-off characters (Molly and Missy), and that she's much less of a Sue in her next appearances. There's even some fans who hope Chloe will become Timmy's new love interest and [[Main/FanPreferredCouple ship her with him]], though this is subject to whether or not the live-action films are canon.
** Timmy's Dad since season 7 onward. You'll either love him because [[TookALevelinKindness his relationship with his son getting better quite a bit]] and has some funny moments. or you'll hate him due to him being downright annoying for his stupid and humiliating behaviors and being a overused character.
** Timmy himself became this since he has been [[{{Flanderization}} Flanderized]] from a [[NiceGuy nice kid]] to a lazy and selfish {{Jerkass}}, especially in Seasons 4 and 5 and 10, some fans find him annoying and insufferable because of this. Other fans see his {{Jerkass}} behavior as result to everyone's bad treatment toward him (especially in "It's a Wishful Life"). However, many fans agree that Timmy's [[TookALevelinJerkass Jerkass status]] is downright negative point for him and [[SeasonalRot the show itself]].
