* WhatDoYouMeanItWasntMadeOnDrugs: Half the movie seems to be an acid trip that jumps around wildly. The sequel is more grounded and plays out like a more traditional fantasy story, but even then it has some surreal moments.

Fixed typo.

** The Cactus King threatens Thistle with an extremely excruciating death by the use of a giant shredding maching. Not to mention the suspense of him escaping at the very last second while the creepy guards slowly approach his cell to take him to the execution chamber.

Trope not applicable - she does not go missing, she is a child in danger. It seems it might've been automatically replaced when Adult Fear got changed. There does not appear to be a suitable trope for this on that page.

*** The ice witches. Needless to say, they look very creepy and menacing with a none-too-different malicious personality. The way they move is also very creepy, and their main objective is to freeze everything in sight. At one point, Kiki the little fairy [[TooDumbToLive decides to harass the witches, putting herself in danger]] ([[MissingChild and she's a child to boot]]), and Sunčica [[HeroicSacrifice tosses her back into safety before getting frozen into an ice cube herself]] - and the witches just laugh, backing away in a slow and scary fashion as they hold the poor incapacitated fairy queen, like horrible monsters slinking back into darkness and taking your friend with them...

Uncanny Valley is IUEO now and the subjective version has been split; cleaning up misuse and ZCE in the process

* UncannyValley: Sunčica in the sequel may invoke this for some. Her coloring looks a lot more...painted, than the rest of the cast, her eyes tend to look lifeless due to it; overall she has a strange sort of artificial look. Possibly justified, since she's a fairy, but still.

* ContestedSequel: Some of those who have seen the sequel, ''Magician's Hat,'' consider it to be vastly inferior to the original movie, one of the major criticisms being the sheer amount of musical numbers which seem to serve only to stretch out the pace of the film. Other criticisms are pointed towards some of the characters having very flat personalities; for example fairy queen Sunchica, whose only roles in the movie are to be the DamselInDistress and Thistle's love interest. Others however find it to be a pretty solid movie, even if not quite on the same level as the original.
* CultClassic: Has very unique settings and characters, but was only moderately popular back in the day.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Fifi Fox, for [[PopularWithFurries obvious]] reasons.

* EarWorm: Czar Mrazomor's song in the sequel. Ask any Croat that saw the movie and they'll likely break into singing that particular song. It even received a heavy metal rearrangement by the fans of the film.
