** Another one after ''Skin Game'' reveals Nicodemus' information-gathering capabilities. He knows ''exactly'' which buttons to press to turn Harry against the Knights.

Moving to the Fridge page.

* FridgeBrilliance: When recovering from the aquarium assault, Mouse spends some time licking Harry's hand, the one that has gone numb from his use of [[spoiler: Soulfire]], and it helps dispel the pins-and-needles sensation. Later in this book we learn from Bob that [[spoiler: Soulfire consumes a portion of the practitioner's soul for fuel]], and Bob has said previously that [[spoiler: soul-stuff can be traded by close, emotional contact]], ''and'' we already know that Mouse, as a Temple Dog, has supernatural senses. Mouse noticed the damage to [[spoiler: Harry's soul, and was restoring it with his own]].
* FridgeHorror:
** When briefly talking to Harry about what the Denarians did to her, Ivy says only they did "things". Harry comments about having been there and his own experiences. Unfortunately the only incident Harry uses the term "things" about was a heavily implied rape by Bianca's people back in ''Literature/GravePeril'', which, given that Ivy was naked when rescued, leads to questions about exactly what was done.
** The fact that Nicodemus, had he not taken the bait and sought to capture the coins and Sword, would have given Thorned Namshiel's coin to Ivy--and thus, unwittingly handed the Archive and all its knowledge over to ''the Black Council''. We know it's the Fallen, not its host, who's in charge in Namshiel's case because of how he's referred to, so if Uriel is right about him, Cowl's crew would have gotten the god-caliber agent they'd been trying to produce in ''Literature/DeadBeat''.

Not a YMMV trope and a general misuse of the trope all together. See here: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13543987200A54420100&page=115#2865

* RewatchBonus: Re-reading this one, you'll notice all the times when [[spoiler:Harry's train of thought veers away from the notion of using fire-magic, because of how Mab tampered with his memory]].
* StupidGood: The Summer court and by extension Titania is essentially this. Titania is trying to kill Harry for killing her daughter Aurora, that she knew was insane but did nothing about, so she sends the brother's gruff after him. The first thing they do is attack Harry and an innocent family. And this is before Harry was asked to help Winter so they had no excuse to do so. Then they continue to try and kill him and by extension help the people Harry is trying to stop. Those people are THE DENARIANS! Harry even calls them out on why the good fairies would help the Denarians kidnap and brainwash the archive knowing how much damage it would do. The response he gets is why is the evil fairy is trying to stop them. Which doesn't change the fact that they are knowingly aiding them because Titania is blaming Harry for what was essentially her fault.
** This continues through the other books as the Summer Court simply being inept and idiots. Reasoning of the heart aside not a single one of them ever does anything worth intelligence. For being the nicer side of their courts it's almost incredible that the entire thing hasn't destroyed itself at this point.

This should be on Changes YMMV page as it contains a major spoiler for that book and no future spoilers are permitted in older books.

Fridge Logic describes a situation that doesn\'t make sense upon further consideration. What\'s described here is its opposite, so the trope was changed accordingly.

The scene seemed a very dark callback to that night at Bianca\'s, so not UI.
