* DawsonCasting: Caroline Munro, the film's most recognizable star, was about 34-35 at the time of filming. And everyone else in the high school gang is around the same age group -- late-20s to early-mid-30s.
** Averted when it turns out the elderly-looking high school kids also play themselves in their ten-year high school reunion, thus making them far more plausible as adults.

* IdiotPlot: Because one door was electrified, the cast decide stay in the school, despite all the windows they could have used to escape.
* {{Narm}}: After Marty crashes through a window, the FinalGirl throws a spear at him which misses. She does this so half-heartedly that it's funny.

* TheUntwist: Marty being the Killer. Seeing how ridiculously obvious the foreshadowing, the fact he is the only suspect and how he wears a mask for most of the movie, you'd be forgiven to expect a twist by having the killer be someone else. But no, it really ''is'' him.
