* HeartwarmingInHindsight: Considering how another CBS show, "We Are Men", got cancel after only ''two'' episodes, it's satisfying that the show got to air it's last episodes and that the show ended with all subplots resolved, with no cliffhangers.

* ChaoticGood: Detective Carter, who works for the FBI, but has no partner (which he is criticized for), is loud/obnoxious, and does things his way. He is told off by the chief for what he did but he just ended up justifying his actions by saying no one got hurt and the job got done. He ends up helping people enough to keep him from being Chaotic Neutral.

* PromotedFanboy: Roman Polanski was a fan of the first two movies. When it was learned that ''Rush Hour 3'' was set in Paris, he asked Creator/BrettRatner and the producers whether they could give him a small role to appear. They happily complied with his wish.

** [[Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse War Machine]] briefly fights Lee in ''Rush Hour 2''.

** In the HilariousOuttakes of ''Rush Hour 2'', Chris Tucker's phone goes off while shooting a scene, making Jackie chastise both him and the caller. In ''[[Film/ShanghaiNoon Shanghai Knights]]'', we see in its HilariousOuttakes that ''Jackie's'' phone goes off while shooting a scene.

* WTHCastingAgency?: Many people don't like Jon Foo as Lee, mainly due to his accent for the character. Also, many people miss Tucker and Chan. On the plus side, people like how more compendent Carter is.

** While the duet with Lee and Carter singing "The Closer I Get To You" was meant to be humorous, Lee actually sings the song well. It helps that Jackie Chan is a singer.
* BaseBreakingCharacter: Carter. Whether he's a cool and awesome CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass JerkWithAHeartOfGold CowboyCop, or he's an UncleTomFoolery whose shtick becomes more loud and obnoxious in each sequel. Roger Ebert's [[http://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/rush-hour-2-2001 unkind review]] of the second movie specifically cited Tucker's performance as ruining the film for him.

* MadeOutToBeAJerkass: Carter gives Lee a hard time in Rush Hour 2 about working cases during his holiday and the audience is supposed to feel sympathy for Lee as Ricky Tan killed his father. However it is worth pointing out that Lee told Carter that his supervisor invited them both to a party and then took Carter to a Triad bar without telling him the situation putting his life in danger as Carter assumed that the place would be full of police or normal people and might have revealed he was a policeman with his friend another policeman to a girl.
