* SongAssociation: Try to find anyone who doesn't think of Badliz's "The Great Strategy" as the Roblox theme song (it was the iconic music used in the original 2006 trailer, and a few more after). Just try. Even a remake of it posted on his official channel is filled with comments that are all Roblox-related. Not necessarily a bad thing, as it also gave him quite a bit of publicity.

* PopularityPolynomial: The game achieved surprise popularity beginning in 2007 with some then-popular [=YouTubers=] making humorous videos featuring it. The game continued to explode in popularity during 2008, where a vast majority of the classic-era players joined, continuing up through 2010 or so. A little while after TheNewTens started, however, the game seemed to fall off the face of the Internet, slowly becoming a bit of a laughingstock among online games for its childish community and corny visuals, only getting attention once in a while (and most of the time, it was typically someone who claimed the game had fallen from grace). After some major overhauls and game changes though, it seems to be heading into mainstream popularity once more, especially since the scope of the game has expanded significantly since the early years, with major AAA quality places that were not even remotely possible ten years back. The death sound becoming a surprise meme seemed to help bring the game back on the map.

* GameBreaker: Back in the second iteration of Sword Fight on the Heights, the Ice Dagger was this in spades. All you had to do was simply touch a player with it, and they would freeze for about a second before dying instantly. It was completely out of balance with the regular sword and the Firebrand, and the brief period of immobilization usually wasn't enough to get the holder of it finished off (since it's really easy to just move out of the way). When that version was still popular, there usually was an unspoken rule to simply not use the Ice Dagger since everyone generally agreed it made the game less fun. Thankfully, once SFOTH 3 came out, it was rebalanced so that it needed a warm-up first and that it couldn't affect people holding the Firebrand, reworking it into a more strategic weapon.

** Several others included disallowing free users to get Robux, the update that changed jumping physics, making the 2010 Easter event only fun for Builders' Club, gear, constantly making Robux-only items, the price floor update, and the advent of Turbo and Outrageous Builders' Club.

** Several others included disallowing free users to get Robux, Robux This was one of the very first real base-breaking updates and happened not long after Builders Club went live in 2007; before it, free users could get five Robux every day when logging in and one per place visit, but then it was decided this would only apply to BC members while free users would only be able to get tickets through the old way. The community exploded over that one, the update that changed jumping physics, physics This was one of the earliest cases of an update breaking places; the jump physics were altered to allow mid-air movement, but it also stripped momentum from the game and broke places that relied on timed conveyor belt jumps, plus a number of other unforeseen elements, making the 2010 Easter event only fun for Builders' Club, Club The 2009 Easter event allowed all users to obtain every egg; the 2010 Easter event only allowed BC members to obtain every egg and free users could only get three, gear, constantly making Robux-only items, the price floor update, update that is, forcing item sales to have a minimum price, and the advent of Turbo and Outrageous Builders' Club.

* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Some players, notably older users, hate change. The pattern that seems to be repeating is that if someone stays with the game for a few years, they will consider the year they initially joined as their personal golden age, then complain about how "crap" the game is now. This isn't limited to one specific set of users either; 2007-08 users reject everything from 2010 onward, where users who joined between 2009 and 2012 consider those years the best ones while panning how bad it's gotten now. There doesn't seem to be an end to this cycle either.

* NightmareFuel: Some of the scary places, especially those with Nightmare Faces that pop out at you, Sometimes taking up the whole screen.
** In the 2012 egg hunt place, you had better get that server-destroying egg before the place turns into a white icy desolate world and creepy demonic voices come out of nowhere!
** Read the ROBLOX creepypasta wiki. Some are made by immature 3rd graders, others are good and horrifying.

** The profanity filter that replaced it is also strongly disliked, though to a lesser degree. It's rather peculiar about what it censors; for instance, words like "twat" go straight through, yet often perfectly innocent words or even people's names get rendered into strings of pound signs or [Content Deleted]. In an amusing bit of meta-censorship, the word "censored" occasionally gets censored.
** Now as of February of 2017, Roblox has changed the filter so much after being involved in the news where some irresponsible parent allowed her 6 year old kid to go on Roblox and play a game that is full of ODer's. The mother was so dumb not for just not watching what her kid does online, and so misjudging that she believed that the people who were flirting with daughter were pedophiles and child predators, when in reality it was some couple of hormone confused preteens.
** As a result of that, the Roblox staff had to quickly in panic change the filter even more, that games including ones on the front page like Apocalypse Rising, Pokemon Brick Bronze, etc. were shut down and put under review. Reason BECAUSE most of the front page games had custom chat guis and scripts, which meant they didn't use the universal Roblox chat. In other words many games were shutdown and place under review for days, just because the games didn't filter anything, or didn't filter enough swears or offensive terms. Some developers and communities were pissed and this led to many developers and people quitting over it. And dozens of roleplay games were suffering, because of this sadly.
** And worse OF ALL, the filter is literally now like as if it is a communication system for the disabled (not trying to offend anyone), by this that means regular common day words are now #####, even such as the word, "my", "I", "you", "a", "as", "or", and so on. Pretty much Roblox has gotten to the point they are just overprotective.

*** The 3.0 Bodies have been rejected by millions. Roblox deleted negative comments to control the flow of feedback, which would make their bodies look good. Think about it: 1 thousand who like it against millions who hate it! And there's even some things that will cause this update to be the renegade:
*** Lawsuits: Takes BuiltWithLego to the extreme. Also resembles KRE-O much.
*** OD Magnet: The bodies resemble online daters.
*** One of those Sarge faces has a name that offends the British.
** There also exist "Petitions" for this problem, but they mostly exist on comments, meaning they can just manipulate the petition so that more names show up.

%%While Roblox MOST CERTAINLY has an UnpleasableFanbase, please do not add UnpleasableFanbase, as it restricts examples.
** At the beginning of 2017, Roblox changed its logo to what it looks like now with red text spelling it out, with a tilted square O. This let to many people absolutely hating the new logo, since they all think it is uncreative and too damn simple. It also made the famous R letter icon that symbolized Roblox, being replaced with the titled square O. Even the studs in games were replaced too (but then again not many games have studs due to people wanting to make realistic buildings).
** It even led to plenty of funny jokes about the new logo, with people saying it looks like a Cheez-it, or a ripoff of the Domino's Pizza's logo.

* WeAREStrugglingTogether: So many people, especially the people who been on the game for years are beginning to hate Roblox for it's updates (whether good or bad updates), which led to the point that you can say that older players are struggling together as they suffer from every bad and pointless update.
