** Trelawney, [[spoiler:after being turned into a dryad]], when she goes back in time. She thinks of killing a baby just because he will be evil in the future, and [[spoiler:nukes Moscow]]. Undermining the human civilization is something she does on purpose, and the reader is supposed to root for her. {{Downplayed}} however, as she is [[spoiler: brainwashed by the three monsters above]]!

** One chapter is devoted to the history of Beauxbatons (or at least Ornstead's take on its history). Well, it ''claims'' to be about Beauxbatons, though the first half of the chapter is devoted to explaining that the Greco-Roman gods were actually wizards. Beauxbatons is ''never'' referenced again, with the author’s subsequent claims that it would be relevant to the story being complete lies.

I thought this seemed familiar.

Added DiffLines:

* HilariousInHindsight: Eventually Harry gets a harem, which is strongly hinted to eventually expand to 100 members, though only a handful of these receive any characterization or scene presence and the way he gets the harem is [[{{Brainwashing}} unethical in the extreme]]. Much later, [[Manga/{{The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love You}} a harem this absurdly large will be the main draw of a certain manga]], which manages to keep the cast sympathetic throughout because the whole thing is played off as absurd and unbelievable, and the harem members are never objectified.

ATT. Not RTDE if criticizing as opposed to exaggerating/inventing negative traits.

* RonTheDeathEater: A lot of readers see the actions of the [[DesignatedHero protagonists]], like genocide and rape, as utterly repulsive and write {{Revenge Fic}}s where they are villains. Especially Harry and Luna.

Now only applies to/goes under the source material subject to such. Specific works doing so are Adaptational tropes.

* DracoInLeatherPants: '''''Bellatrix Lestrange''''' of all people gets this treatment, and even the narration treats her sympathetically. Ironically, Ornstead tends to go on rants in the author's notes about this trope being applied to [[DamnedByFaintPraise less horrible]] individuals like [[{{Jerkass}} Draco]] or [[AmbiguouslyEvil Snape]].

* RonTheDeathEater:
** Ron gets off rather lightly compared to other characters Ornstead doesn’t like, but he’s nonetheless portrayed as a self-centered, obnoxious boor who only pretended to be friends with Harry, partly because Dumbledore recruited him to do so, and partly for his own selfish reasons. In Chapter 91, [[spoiler:he openly becomes a Voldemort sympathizer in the hopes of receiving a sex slave]].
** The Dursleys are far more abusive to Harry than they ever were in canon, giving him horrible injuries and starving him. It's even claimed that Harry needs to wear glasses because they forced him to drink rubbing alcohol, which ruined his eyesight (even though James wore glasses too, implying Harry's eye problems are genetic).
** Goblins are said to live off cruelty, to the point that they kidnap and torture human children to sate their desires to harm people.
** The Dementors are depicted as showing far less restraint than they do in canon, with one attempting to [[SoulEating Kiss]] Harry for no apparent reason. [[spoiler:Though when Harry uses them to Kiss criminals and Dumbledore, [[ProtagonistCenteredMorality this is not portrayed as something evil]]]].
** Very little is known about Potterverse vampires except that they exist, but there's absolutely no indication they're the AlwaysChaoticEvil predatory monsters the story makes them out to be.
** Lucius Malfoy and the Lestrange brothers are stated to be child molesters. While they are pretty awful people in canon, there's no evidence that they do anything like that.
** Draco Malfoy is said to have set up a younger boy to undergo a forced sex change and then be raped repeatedly. While Draco is an asshole, there's no evidence that his canonical self is capable of such a thing, and indeed, the one time he is told to commit a genuine act of evil (as opposed to just being a school bully), he can't go through with it.
** The Department of Mysteries holds innocent people captive against their will, most notably Luna’s grandmother [[Literature/AlicesAdventuresInWonderland Alice]], who is [[DesignatedHero supposed to be innocent]]. It’s also run by a Death Eater, even though ''Order of the Phoenix'' disproves this.
** But Dumbledore and Snape get it worst of all. Dumbledore is depicted as a self-serving sadist who deliberately arranged for Harry to be mistreated and secretly holds enormous influence over the government and society of magical Britain, being ultimately responsible for ''all'' of its social ills. Snape is depicted as Dumbledore’s enthusiastic henchman who uses Polyjuice Potion to run a child sex ring. Filch and Moody are also involved with Dumbledore's evil scheming -- the former as his one-man CleanupCrew and the latter as his personal assassin -- but since they don't feature as prominently in the fic as Dumbledore or Snape, they get off comparatively lightly.

Not YMMV

* CoversAlwaysLie: Lionheart says the story features Harry with a backbone. This could not be [[DirtyCoward further from the truth.]]
