* FamilyUnfriendlyAesop: The ''Class Clown'' episode. While it is true that being amusing can lighten the tension in a School Environment, the episode encourage the viewer to clown around, even if it results in you getting in trouble.

* OvershadowedByAwesome: While the show itself was funny, enjoyable and popular in it's own right, and definitely way more popular than shows like ''Series/{{Unfabulous}}'' or ''Series/JustJordan'', shows like ''Series/DrakeAndJosh'' and ''Series/{{Zoey101}}'' are more likely to be recognized.

* BaseBreakingCharacter: Lisa in season three. Some fans don't mind her change of appearance, while others didn't like how her personality changed from {{Adorkable}} to a DudeMagnet.

** Cookie as well, '''especially''' around Season 3, where he began to take interest in Lisa Zimo ''after'' she had stopped having her crush on him and changed her appearance. His tendencies to [[LargeHam overreact]] to a lot of things as well as screwing up a lot (especially causing [[spoiler: Ned to fail his exam in Study Hall]]) didn't help the cause either, reaching TookALevelInDumbass red flags.

* CriticalResearchFailure: Van Earl Wright occasionally referring to Willie Gault as an "Olympic Gold Medalist" whenever the two would show up to commentate on a major happening at Polk. Gault never competed in the ''Summer'' Olympics, though he did go to the 1988 ''Winter'' Olympics in Calgary as a member of the U.S. Bobsled Team, even though he ended up on the sidelines the whole time. The one year that Gault would've been in the Summer Games was 1980, the year the United States, along with many other nations, boycotted the Games, taking place in Moscow, out of protest of the Soviet Union's invasion of Afghanistan. In the days leading up to the Games, Philadelphia staged what was officially known as the Liberty Bell Classic, but is also referred to as the Olympic Boycott Games, as many of those boycotting countries took part. The Classic exclusively consisted of track and field events. Gault won a gold medal in the 4x100 meter relay, and a bronze medal in the 100 meter sprint in a USA sweep of the podium. The gold medal is the one the writing staff mistakenly thought Gault won at an actual Olympics. Gault, though, was a member of the Chicago Bears when they won Super Bowl XX over the New England Patriots.
** When Ned attempts to pass off Literature/GreenEggsAndHam as the book he'll use for his book report, he states that the person who doesn't like Green Eggs and Ham is Sam when in actuality, Sam was the one who liked them and was trying to get the unnamed character to eat them.

* SuspiciouslySimilarSong: The first chords of the tune that plays when Ned is explaining his tips to the audience sound a lot like the main riff of "I Can't Explain" by TheWho.

** In the Pep Rallies episode, Cookie jumps onto a powerful trampoline and is launched through the gym's roof and lands outside the school. This was done using a computer model. However, immediately after Cookie crash landed outside of school the model flipped into an upright position.
