It isn't even just between the different franchises (like, say, Tsukihime vs Fate), but it will even be between the fans of the same franchise--Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero fans fighting was one of the most widespread cases of this among the fandom, but recently there have been fights between fans of Fate/Grand Order and fans of other Fate series due to fans feeling that the former is being given too much priority and the latter series are being left in the dust as a result.

* BrokenBase: In a variation of OldGuardVersusNewBlood, ever since the release of ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'', the fanbase has been increasingly fractured between people who got into the Nasuverse through ''VisualNovel/{{Tsukihime}}'' and earlier works and people who got in through ''Fate'', thanks to the latter's popularity overshadowing the former's. [[note]]The lack of a [[FanonDiscontinuity decent anime adaptation]] for ''Tsukihime'' doesn't help, nor does its very dated presentation and lack of an [[NoExportForYou official translation]].[[/note]] It got even worse when Anime/FateZero and its massive popularity within the greater anime community got even more people into ''Fate'', and [[FromBadToWorse what little unity remained was utterly pulverized]] thanks to the humongous success of ''VideoGame/FateGrandOrder'', which became the flagship title of the franchise.
