* HarsherInHindsight: As of late 2016, Angelina is now filing Brad Pitt for divorce.
* HilariousInHindsight: An AlternateEnding would have shown John and Jane out with their daughter several years after the events of the film. The daughter in question bears a striking resemblance to BradPitt and [[AngelinaJolie Angelina Jolie's]] real life daughter who had not even been born yet.

** In one scene, Jane is at a party and ends up holding a baby girl. [[ChildHater She has this embarrassed look on her face]], yet the baby smiles. "She likes you", says the mother. Later, not long after Angelina and Brad got together...

* LargeHam: Inverted. The movie works as well as it does specifically because Pitt and Jolie are both very talented actors, and their ability to emote well is frequently the focus of a scene.

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: On several accounts: Jane nailing the annoying little bastard "The Tank" with a phone, John and Jane fighting each other at the restaurant and at home, and the final scene where [[spoiler: John and Jane take out all the assassins back to back. That's a level of marriage that is too awesome for words.]]
** That part referenced in the above spoiler is more like [[spoiler: Crowning moment of writing yourself into a corner and getting out of it with ConservationOfNinjutsu.]]
*** [[spoiler: Yep ... this is where ConservationOfNinjutsu crossed the line into DeusExMachina territory.]]
* CrowningMomentOfFunny: John vs. Jane inside their house. That is all.
** John's chanting after he crawls up into the building to retrieve "The Tank": ''"Turn [the lights] back on! Turn'embackonturn'embackonturn'embackon!"''
** Jane learning that John was married once before: "What's her name and social security number?" "Oh, no, you're ''not'' gonna kill her."
** Dear lord, the ''entire'' scene in the van. "We're going to have to redo every conversation we've ever had." "...I'm Jewish."
*** The best part was when John said "I ''told'' you I saw your dad in Fantasy Island!!" Jane had hired paid actors to stand in as her parents during their wedding.
** "Chicken shit!" "Pussy!" Screamed at each other from separate ''buildings''.
** John: "Honey, maybe you shouldn't undercut me in front of the hostage. It sends a mixed message." The Tank: ''(nods)''
** "Who ARE you people?!"
** The whole part where John shot at Jane's windshield on accident. Her face was priceless.
** The dinner scene before that where John was feeling extremely paranoid about everything Jane served him. Especially when he finally forces himself to take a bite of his dinner, only for her to eat something entirely different.
* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: After the house fight, when the two realize at gunpoint that they actually do love each other and can't kill the other.
** Especially when you realize that for most, if not all of the fight, they've both been hoping the other would win.
