* FanonDiscontinuity: Most fans will pretend that ''[=SF2=]'' never happened.

** On the other hand, Sonia [[EnsembleDarkhorse of all people]] gets a lot of hate in the second game for her contrived SuperDickery. This is mainly because she is one of the few characters who are genuinely friends with Geo and trusted him [[DefeatMeansFriendship after her introduction arc]].

* AmericansHateTingle: Luna is more popular than Sonia in Japan thanks to her {{Tsundere}} and {{Ojou}} status, but the opposite happens in the American fandom.

west, in which Luna garners a large hatedom, largely due to being the unpopular choice for the series' ShipToShipCombat (see DieForOurShip) and the tendency of those with ShippingGoggles to oversimplify/downplay or misconstrue her CharacterDevelopment. The rest of her haters are simply sick of the {{Tsundere}} archetype.

Added DiffLines:

** The Noise-based form-changes in ''[=SF3=]''. They're changed only if you defeat Giant viruses, and each one you get is random. Coupled with the fact that a lot of them aren't very good (The Wolf Woods Noise especially suffers, due to many high-tier enemies being [[ElementalRockPaperScissos Fire-based.]]) You're forced to use one, otherwise you can't access the finalized Noise forms, which are actually very good.

c* AccidentalInnuendo: Partway through the anime, Hope plays ShipperOnDeck for Geo, who's [[http://i40.tinypic.com/o87wbo.jpg too embarassed]] to deal with the conversation, and Hope notes that [[http://i39.tinypic.com/20r36zs.jpg he's still just a kid]] when it comes to romantic topics. But the lines and the expressions are a great out-of-context joke.

%%* BrokenAesop: ...except that the alien beings who grant superpowers are literally ''drawn to {{Wangst}} and loneliness''. Hooray for ThePowerOfFriendship boosting the powers you only have because you spent three solid years moping!
%% Technically this is untrue. Geo and Mega met on accident, or if you stretch your interpretation, Mega was drawn to Geo's Transer, which registered his approach as Kelvin. It's the other FM-ians who are drawn to angst.

** The ''[=SF1=]'' games had levels that fell into the same rut that many other NintendoDS games fell into early on, with level puzzles relying largely on Touch Screen gimmicks rather than button pressing.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic:
** "Stellar", an incredibly [[IncrediblyLamePun rocking]] tune for... [[NoExportForYou a Japanese]] trailer.
** Each rendition of the main theme, Shooting Star, is amazing. And then it goes vocal in the third.
*** It was supposed to be sung by Sonia... but Capcom never got around to it due to unfortunately low sales. Luckily there's a well-dome Japanese fan version available for your listening pleasure on Youtube: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlDs071_k6U Here it is.]]
** The theme of Spade Magnes's stage is also widely hailed as the best stage music in the Star Force Series. It manages to be energetic and intense without being over the top. Considering the limits of the DS sound card, this is saying a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkgY2QJ7WkU lot.]]

** The ''[=SF2=]'' games did away with this at first except for the The FinalDungeon. Remember those sections where you get chased by Murian guards? If you touched them, you will initiate a minigame where you need to draw lines on the guard with the laggy touchscreen function. ''In less than 5 seconds.'' Otherwise, a fight ensues. They are rather tough with a lot of hitpoints. To make matters worse in order to even reach the FinalBoss you need to sneak through those guards. Lose the Le Mu fight and you have to cross the dreaded section all over again.

** One major complaint against [=SF3=] was how the modified battle system arbitrarily isolated some of the Battle Cards you drew each turn, especially the more powerful ones; this is almost universally recognized as a ScrappyMechaninc because of how it interrupts combos and general cohesiveness.

** Gemini, from the first game, kills one of his allies for no reason when he could've easily helped her and defeated Mega Man. He also manipulates a boy with multiple personality disorder into helping him to blow up the entire planet and is revealed as the one who manipulated King Cepheus into destroying the AM Planet.

** Gemini, from the first game, kills is a wicked FM-ian who [[FantasticRacism despises all other forms of life]], both organic and EM-based. A destruction-loving {{sadist}} and [[TreacherousAdvisor advisor]] to King Cepheus, he took advantage of the kingís paranoia by convincing him to destroy Planet AM, their neighboring world. When they discover Omega-Xis stole the key to activating Andromeda, their [[EarthShatteringKaboom planet-destroying superweapon]], to Earth, Gemini was among the FM-ians sent to reclaim it, [[TheStarscream secretly plotting to destroy Earth and take down Cepheus]]. He finds a compatible human in Patrick Sprigs, a boy abandoned as a baby who suffers from a violent split personality named "Rey." He takes advantage of this, [[ManipulativeBastard manipulating Patís feelings and other half]], convincing him to destroy [[HumansAreBastards humanity]] by [[FusionDance merging with]] him to form Gemini Spark and use Andromeda themselves while using their powers to [[HatePlague make humans attack each other]]. When one of his allies for no reason when he could've easily helped her and allies, Queen Ophiuca, is defeated by Mega Man and begs him for help, Gemini responds by [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness killing her on the spot]]. Heís eventually defeated, but his manipulations of Pat and Geo convince the latter to abandon everyone in his life for a time. Heís later revived when Cepheus decides to use Andromeda, putting Gemini in charge of stopping Mega Man. He also manipulates a boy with multiple personality disorder into helping him attempts to blow up destroy the entire planet and is revealed as machinery needed to help Mega Man reach Cepheus, suggesting heís fine getting himself killed to destroy the one who manipulated King Earth.
