* UncannyValley: Wears incredibly thick makeup, unusual hair, and ridiculously high shoes. She has since phased her UncannyValleyMakeup in favour of a more natural look that began with ''Joanne'', which served as a CareerResurrection for her.

** "Born This Way," meant to be an anthem about accepting yourself, whoever or whatever you may be. It's not even subtle about the message, and it forgoes symbolism and her usual mystique of her music; it just straight up says that you were born perfect and should accept yourself, over and over. It's a good song and a good message, delivered with the same subtlety as a brick to the face.

** "Donatella" is a song that sings the virtues of a rich, blond, upperclass model, making her life seem amazing and perfect. However, some lyrics suggest that this might be a StealthParody, and the song is meant to be a cynical look at a shallow person. This is more obvious in the music video, which often shows similar-looking blond girls being mass-produced or puppeteered by unseen forces.

** The backdraft endind when she claimed that she never got to hear the song and [[http://alyankovic.wordpress.com/2011/04/20/gaga-update/ her manager owned up to not even bothering to show her the song, which she gave full approval when she did get to hear it]].

Added DiffLines:

** Her halftime show performance at Super Bowl LI was widely praised for great performances of several of her biggest hits, plus some subtly subversive bits like performing a snippet of "This Land Is Your Land" (originally written as a scathing anti-Fascism screed). But there's also a sizable group of people saying they were let down by her not taking the opportunity to be more overtly political like Beyonce the previous year, and especially upset that she got the same amount of attention for doing far less.

*** Another interpretation is that the song isn't mocking the model; it's about the girl is seen as as perfect, carefree, and above the criticism of others, but beneath the mask feels misunderstood and that no one knows the real her. Some also believe that she's purposely setting up the misunderstanding as a mask to hide her true feelings.

* DudeNotFunny: She was NOT happy with the TakeThat of her in the "Fatty Boom Boom" music video from Music/DieAntwoord. See the [[http://www.straight.com/blogra/die-antwoord-blasts-lady-gaga-outrageous-new-fatty-boom-boom-video article]].

* FanHater: Some of the HypeAversion experienced by Gaga at certain point partially came down to this as Little Monsters don't really have the best reputation on the internet.

* {{Mondegreen}}: "One second I'm a Koons, then suddenly the Koons is me" (Koons being the artist Jeff Koons) from "Applause" is commonly heard as "One second I'm a kunst, then suddenly the kunst is me". FridgeBrilliance and BilingualBonus kicks in when one realises "kunst" is German, Dutch and Estonian for "art".

* TheScrappy: See Fan Hater

* StupidSexyFlanders: Jo Colderone, her image in You & I clip both bring out these feelings.

* TheWoobie: Gaga herself as she has [[http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-38218247 spoken]] about being raped when she was 19 and that it caused her trauma in addition to suffering PTSD.
