** Not only are they popular in Japan, for instance with ''Music/YellowMagicOrchestra'' namedropping them as a major influence on their early-1980s appearance in ''Series/SoulTrain'', but as you can hear in Dentaku on the ''Minimum-Maximum'' live album, Japanese audiences are far more excited in Kraftwerk concerts than audiences in most other countries that tend to treat the live performances like art shows. Kraftwerk has also returned the affection numerous times, such as with their 2012 No Nukes festival performance of ''Radio-Activity'' with the revised lyrics to The Mix version.

** Kraftwerk are also cult favorites in the United Kingdom, as they influenced Britain's synth-pop scene. Andy [=McCluskey=] saw them live when he was 16, and he was so amazed, he decided to start his own electronic band: Music/OrchestralManoeuvresInTheDark. They even named their second album ''Organisation'' after Kraftwerk's precursor band of the same name.

* SeinfeldIsUnfunny: By the 1980's Kraftwerk was suffering from this, because by then synthesized music was everywhere thanks to New Wave acts like Music/TheHumanLeague and Music/{{Devo}}. When Kraftwerk actually made a rare televised appearance at the 2003 MTV Europe Music Awards, the audience seemed perplexed, with one audience member even caught on microphone asking, "[[https://youtu.be/8WCWrTLnR6s?t=197 MTV, what the fuck is this?]]"

* ReplacementScrappy: {{Downplayed|Trope}}: Some fans refuse to acknowledge the post-1987 additions the band[[note]]that is, Fritz Hilpert, Fernando Abrantes, Henning Schmit, Stefan Pfaffe, and Falk Grieffenhagen[[/note]] as true members of Kraftwerk; however, there's not much fuzz about these members outside of that bubble, especially among fans who weren't around for the classic lineup in the first place. This is {{parodied|Trope}} with the Facebook group [[https://www.facebook.com/Christian-Dads-against-Falk-Grieffenhagen-2209160652703951/?ref=br_tf&epa=SEARCH_BOX "Christian Dads against Falk Grieffenhagen"]], who consistently (and intentionally) mix Falk up with Florian.

* TearJerker: Florian Schneider's passing. What has made it harder for some fans is that a week prior, there were concerns in the fandom that Florian was unwell,[[note]]his sister, Claudia, and Wolfgang both posted pictures of Florian with little-to-no context[[/note]] only to be told everything was going to be okay. In other words, Florian's passing was both fresh in mind and completely out of left field for some fans.

YMMV tropes cannot be played with.

** Averted by ''The Mix'', which consists of entirely re-arranged and re-recorded versions of various songs from ''Autobahn'' to ''Electric Café'' (and in some like "The Robots" and "Radioactivity", have new additional melodies and/or lyrics), which is generally considered by the fanbase as [[FanonDiscontinuity something that doesn't actually exist]].

Face Of The Band has been disambiguated.

* FaceOfTheBand: Ralf and Florian, the co-founders of the band. Until Florian left in 2008.
