** Yamato's expressions and reactions to 99% of the stuff that happen in the manga are so over the top, it seems more at home in something like ''Franchise/JoJosBizarreAdventure''.

* AssPull: Two in the same chapter. In chapter 33, the following happens:
** [[spoiler: Sayama reveals a new power up with Regula, while also revealing she is Dunstan's daughter from the future. There was no foreshadowing for this, and the revelation comes out of left field.]]
** [[spoiler: Chichibu Jun, a kid that is absolutely naked except for his underwear, brings a crossbow and arrow ''out of nowhere'' in order to kill Pardoner' due to being an enemy of Vice. This is repeated ''again'' in chapter 37 against Jun, with K getting the crossbow from out of nowhere.]]

** FridgeBrilliance: Remember, Dunstan created Ultimo and chose Yamato to wield him. His takes on "good" and "evil" are pretty damn twisted, so it's no surprise that Yamato isn't your [[TheCape typical hero]].
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Mizho. Rune too, depending on your opinion/view of him.
** Jealous for the doji.
** Akitsu for Sayama's friends.
* EvilIsSexy: Most of the evil doji and their masters (highlights including Vice, Rune, Jealous, and Desir) since you know... they're evil. Not to mention that the doji are, well, ''robots''.

** Eater's human form. He thinks he looks pretty good though.
* FunnyAneurysmMoment: Early on, [[NotWhatItLooksLike Sayama mistakes Yamato]] [[MistakenForPedophile for being a child molester]]. Considering the [[PaedoHunt implications]] of his past life, in Chapter 25...
* JerkassWoobie: Rune. By now, it's safe to say that he's done more things to garner {{Squick}} than sympathy from the fanbase. ''Especially'' to Yamato. But in a way, it's justified, as Ultimo did kill his past self.
** Murayama Musashi. While his whole ''world'' was destroyed, his rude quips to Yamato and tendency to rather recklessly do things himself places him in this territory.
* MemeticMolester: Rune. [[{{AttemptedRape}} For obvious reasons]]. Just compare the fandom's opinion of him [[{{AllLoveIsUnrequited}} back]] [[{{LoveMakesYouEvil}} in Part]] [[{{TheWoobie}} I]].... [[{{LoveMakesYouCrazy}} to]] [[{{StalkerWithACrush}} now]].
* {{Moe}}: Ultimo, Sayama, Machi... Most of the girls and some of the more bishie doji are definitely designed to invoke {{moe}} vibes.
* {{Narm}}: K is hardly the most imposing villain. Probably intentional, considering that Vice chose him solely because he was such a pathetic push-over.

** Yamato's expressions and reactions to 99% of the stuff that happen in the manga. In all fairness, this would probably be [[{{ThisLoserIsYou}} the reader's]] reactions too if he/she was in that situation.
* NightmareFuel: Pretty much the introduction of The Seven Deadly Sins.
** That weird lipstick 12th centuary Iruma wore? ''It's blood.''
* {{Squick}}: Miyoshi Sumako, being an ''elementary school teacher'', the master of the ''{{Lust}}'' doji, and not to mention the feelings she seems to have for him. But some will find that to be rather attractive.
** Once again... K. He is either a CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass or the primary source of {{Squick}} in the manga.
** [[{{StalkerWithACrush}} Rune's feelings for Yamato, and how he handles them]].
** The FemaleGaze on Ultimo and Service, given how young they look, though as with Sumako's example this could also serve as fetish fuel.
* ParanoiaFuel: The day jobs of some of the Evil Douji Masters? Elementary School teacher, music producer, oh and PRO GOLFER.
** Not to mention the [[EnfantTerrible little girl]].
*** FridgeBrilliance, when you remember how earlier Hana tells the school guard that her ''teacher'' told her that she had no parents. This may as well mean that the evil elementary school teacher brainwashed her into becoming the master of an evil doji.
* TastesLikeDiabetes: Arguably Ultimo, since half of the time he's in [[{{AxCrazy}} batshit mode]].

* ViewerGenderConfusion: Lampshaded with Rune: his past life ''was'' a girl.
** And let's not get into Service on this one. [[spoiler: Though in the end, 'he' [[BecomeARealBoy did]] turn into a girl, as shown in the [[http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oOfHwpk27iY/WR-BQlczojI/AAAAAAAA33s/upG47GGB_TgjR1OvvktldmJyVMRTo2aRACHM/s16000/0051-061.png last chapter.]]]]

* BrokenBase: The amount of HoYay / FoeYay in the series, specifically between Rune and Yamato. Some find it to be a great amount of {{Squick}} and unnecessary, and other see it as crucial to the storyline.

* VillainDecay: Is Vice truly the epitome of evil? For more than a year's worth of chapters put together, Vice hasn't been shown doing ''anything'' except eat hamburgers and yell at K while just lazily sitting around in their run-down apartment. YMMV if his [[DynamicEntry dynamic entries]] make up for this.
** [[FridgeBrilliance Incompetence is the ultimate evil, and having a master who's easy to push around makes it easy for Vice to do what he wants]].

* DesignatedHero: The main character has a bipolar outlook on the good of the world. The "good" characters are very enigmatic and don't seem all that attached to even each other. They also happen to be the world's last hope in being saved from an amoral scientitst's products of destruction. Yep, Stan Lee's bringing in the Marvel touch here.
** FridgeBrilliance: Remember, Dunstan created Ultimo and chose Yamato to weild him. His takes on "good" and "evil" are pretty damn twisted, so it's no surprise that Yamato isn't your [[TheCape typical hero]].

** More like it '''relies''' on it. Nothing in the series is expressed through long speeches, they're expressed through [[{{WhamEpisode}} Wham Chapters]] and deeply unexpected plot twists.
** They actually do use long speeches, usually to point out ThePowerOfLove or good and such.

* BaseBreaker: Fans either adore Musashi for trying to prevent a bad future while looking awful pretty doing so, but there are those who can't stand how obnoxious he can be, especially to Yamato.
