!![[Comicbook/{{Justice}} The comic]]:
* SugarWiki/AwesomeArt: Kind of redundant for Creator/AlexRoss, but for the sake of completion...
** So much so that the trade paperback gives Ross' name top billing and all of the review quotes on the cover refer to his artwork.
* CompleteMonster: ComicBook/{{Brainiac}}, the ultimate mastermind behind the LegionOfDoom and [[TheChessmaster the architect of most of the disasters in the story]], is an [[RoboticPsychopath advanced android]] created by the Computer Tyrants of Colu. When the Computer Tyrants were destroyed by the people they had oppressed, Brainiac decides to create his own version of Colu on Earth, by killing most of humanity and turning the rest into copies of himself. To do this, Brainiac meets with [[ComicBook/{{Shazam}} Captain Marvel]] villain [[MadScientist Doctor Sivana]], who has been developing [[MindControlDevice tiny robot worms that control the minds of others]]. Brainiac takes his research and uses it to [[DrivenToMadness drive Doctor Sivana insane]]. Brainiac forms his own Legion of Doom, [[BrainwashedAndCrazy mind-controlling most of the members]], except for Lex Luthor who has a force field that protects him from Brainiac's devices. Brainiac has Black Manta kidnap Aquaman, with Brainiac wanting to learn more about his telepathy by cutting open his brain. Brainiac has the various Legion of Doom members [[FalselyReformedVillain pretend to have turned good and wanting to help humanity]], with several of them creating cities for the sick and needy, that will provided technology that will cure their illnesses and provided them with a good standard of life. Brainiac's micro worms have also let him take control of Earth's nuclear stockpile, with Brainiac planning to nuke most of the world to destroy humanity. When the Justice League reveal to Luthor that Brainiac has betrayed him, Luthor sabotages his plans and forces him to retreat to his ship. Brainiac, unhappy about losing, decides to set off the nukes anyway and destroy humanity.
* HarsherInHindsight: From Batman's private files on the Flash, he said Barry is "the kind of man [he] would have hoped to become had [his] parents not been murdered before [his] eyes". Sadly it's now no longer the case after Reverse-Flash traveled back in time to kill Barry's mother and his father, framed for her murder, died in prison.
* JustHereForGodzilla: A talking psychic gorilla wearing a GreenLanternRing on his ''foot''? YES!!
* MagnificentBastard: [[Characters/SupermanLexLuthor Lex Luthor]] is the only supervillain who avoided ComicBook/{{Brainiac}}'s mind control worms, by using a forcefield of his own creation. Deciding to work alongside Brainiac, Lex serves as the figurehead of their plan to have the villains perform humanitarian actions and [[VillainWithGoodPublicity use the popular goodwill]] to slander the Justice League and create utopian artificial cities to lure millions of humans. Managing to hack the Justice League's satellite, Lex uses the information to perform coordinated attacks that put many heroes out of commission, with some fatally injured. When the League discovers Brainiac's plan to destroy the Earth using the Worldwide Nuclear Stockpile and forcibly roboticize the people in the cities, Lex is seemingly defeated, but later reveals that he has created a AI copy that hacks Brainiac's systems to force Brainiac to escape, confessing that his goal was to become the hero that saved Earth.
* {{Narm}}: While Aquaman's turn to PapaWolf can be classified as badass, one can't help but have flashbacks to Creator/MelGibson in ''Film/{{Ransom}}'' when he's searching for Brainiac.
* UncannyValley: As with all of Ross' works. In this case, enhanced by the fact that he painted over Doug Braithwaite's pencils, so this trope is a result of the combination of their different styles.
* WhatAnIdiot: The Riddler flees into the worst possible nightclub.
--> '''Batman''': ''(thinking)'' The Riddler should have known better than to try to escape through a place called The Batcave.
** [[spoiler: That is until Riddler uses one of Toyman's gadgets to escape quickly.]]

!![[Music/{{Justice}} The band]]:
* CoveredUp: Their remix of Simian's "Never Be Alone" is far more iconic than the original.
* EpilepticTrees: Some people believe that the members of Justice actually are Music/DaftPunk in disguise [[HiddenInPlainSight (or rather unmasked)]]. This is mostly due to both duos being French and having [[http://flepi.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/justice-daft-punk-2.jpg suspiciously similar statures]].
* FandomRivalry: 2021 ignited one between the fans of Justice and Music/JustinBieber of all people, mainly due to the duo [[https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/justice-file-cease-and-desist-letter-against-justin-bieber-new-album-merch-1143215/ issuing a cease-and-desist towards Bieber over his then-released album]], [[NamesTheSame also titled]] ''[[NamesTheSame Justice]]'', over allegations of plagiarism (specifically of the logo; allegedly, Bieber's creative team had contacted the duo's graphic designer as the album was being made, but then ghosted them and copied their cross-based logo without their permission). Justice fans were livid over the allegations, Bieber fans thought they were overreacting, and the two bases still don't get along.
* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: One moment of comic relief in the otherwise dark, intense "Stress" video: A gang commits a car-jacking, and the member in the passenger seat turns on the car radio and we hear "D.A.N.C.E." playing - [[SelfDeprecation he immediately starts kicking the radio until it comes loose, then throws it out the window]].
* FridgeBrilliance: In "Phantom Part 1.5"; "Aquatic '''Dance'''" by Vangelus and then all of the sudden : "Do the D.A.N.C.E, do the D.A.N.C.E!"
** "Ohio" from ''Audio, Video, Disco'' seems a bit odd at first...a bunch of random American place names in a song by a French group? But then listen to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtuR7b3AhiQ "Orleans"]] by David Crosby-- a song consisting entirely of French place names, sung by an American singer!
* HoYay: As shown in ''A Cross the Universe'' and the music video for "Phantom (Part II)", Gaspard and Xavier occasionally kiss before shows.
* MemeticMutation: "Waters of Nazareth" has been used for a number of remixes and mashups, most notably "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQBqSt15Vi0 Waters of]] [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Megalovania]]".
* SugarWiki/MostWonderfulSound: The ringing in "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=9f-NQZYCZnA#t=95 Newjack]]".
* NightmareFuel: The giant, glowing, golden humanoid that appears out of nowhere in the "Civilization" video.
** The [[MindScrew music video of "On'n'on"]].
** The "Stress" video, depicting realistic-looking gang violence in a [[FoundFootageFilms found footage]] style, can be fairly disturbing.
*** Speaking of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qXmxVySMzw Stress]], just TRY and listen to it without feeling [[ParanoiaFuel the slightest bit anxious.]]
* SampledUp: Out of the many samples featured on ''†'', the prominent sample featured throughout "Phantom" is from the main theme from ''[[{{Creator/DarioArgento}} Tenebrae]]''.
** Music/JayZ sampled the chorus from "D.A.N.C.E." for his song "On to the Next One".
* SignatureSong: ''Phantom Part 2'', ''Genesis'' or ''D.A.N.C.E.'' are most likely their best known tracks, though ''Waters of Nazareth'' has a number of fans, perhaps due to the [[SongAssociation Grand Theft Auto effect]] (in ''VideoGame/GrandTheftAutoIV'').
* SophomoreSlump: While critical reaction to ''Audio, Video, Disco,'' was mostly positive, it was noticeably less lauded than ''†''. Fans have been more harsh towards the album, giving it a below average rating on rateyourmusic. This is almost certainly due to the [[NewSoundAlbum more rock-influenced sound]].
* SugarWiki/SweetDreamsFuel: The endings of "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=_0-tWLi0Kp4#t=210 Let There Be Light]]" and "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=BYY1iTyWa54#t=170 Helix]]. They sound so peaceful and ''pretty''.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: ''Audio, Video, Disco'''s [[NewSoundAlbum drastically different style]] has alienated some fans, to say the least.

* FridgeLogic:
** Even if Aresia's plague failed to wipe out the total male population, it did not go without casualties. Elderly men, young children, and others with weaker constitutions all died before the cure could be administered. It's later stated that young girls and women also died as well, incidentally as a result of the men falling ill and dying around them.
*** It's also mentioned that Aresia's dream of a female utopia would never have happened, as not every woman hates men, let alone enough to want ''all'' men dead. More than a small percentage of the world's female population wants her dead.
*** If Aresia had not been taken back to the island, she would have been executed for terrorism.
** After it has become public that Aresia has escaped despite the promises the Amazons made, and Diana spells out the extent of their failings with Aresia and unwitting complicity, Hippolyta realizes that Themyscira can no longer stay out of the affairs of the world if it wants to keep a sliver of goodwill and independence. Thus she names Diana to be ambassador to try and fix this disaster.
** This also extends to the Straw Hats and the heists. Unlike Gaia which has the strong doing what they want with little to no consequence, their robberies of corporations and takedowns of criminal empires have left such businesses forced to shut down, left people unemployed, and power vacuums appearing everywhere. It's one of the major reasons why they are on the JL's radar.
* FridgeHorror: Aresia believes that her plague would cause men and only men to die. An Amazon points out that plenty of women and young girls also died. Not because the plague mutated to effect women, but because they were in vehicles being driven by men or were being taken care of by men at the time.
