** This troper realized how terrifying the penultimate sequence is, in no small part due to the tense track "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTkq8ZhbvcM Nadir]]". [[spoiler:Especially the last ascent up the mountain when the winds push the player back, thunder and lightning are extremely present, and the white-out becomes so immense that even the mountain is no longer in sight.]]

(read it all the way through, folks. Read it ALL the way through.) I kid you not; Lisa Brockman even wrote a [[http://srpandjrnyfanfictionarchive.bravehost.com/HOME%20SWEET%20HOME.pdf funny short story]]. There was also this one forum (Classic Rock I think) where they mention that Steve said that he and Neal loved each other. Unfortunately, due to more recent events, Steve's statement may actually be one-sided.

** Their 1986 album ''Raised on Radio''. Is it the band's MagnumOpus, a great follow up to ''Frontiers'', a worthy addition to their discography, or is it an awful glorified Steve Perry solo album?

* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: The band is currently far more popular in Europe than in the US, to the point that their 2011 tour only has 3 US dates, with all the rest being in Europe. This is a relatively new development. In the eighties, Journey toured almost exclusively in USA and Japan. The European AOR fans preferred {{Toto}} (still do, really).

* BeamMeUpScotty: Perry never said "I never felt part of the band". He really said “All these years, it’s funny—I never really felt part of it.” Even then, the line was actually [[QuoteMine taken out of context]] by [=VH1=]. What [[http://steveperryonline.net/index.php/2011/01/11/a-qa-with-steve-perry/ he really said]] was that he felt he wasn't part of the band ''at the time'' (he was talking about his early years with Journey).

* ColbertBump: The use of "Don't Stop Believing" in the final scene of ''TheSopranos'' instantly made the band a trendy discussion topic again. And then it happened again in the pilot of ''Series/{{Glee}}'', which boosted the song to the number one Itunes download.
* EarWorm: "Just a small town girl..."

* NarmCharm: "Don't Stop Believin'" is a little ''too'' feel-good for its own good, but almost everyone doesn't care anyway.
