* SpecialEffectsFailure: Anyone used to LEGO webcomics, or custom LEGO models in general, may find the comic's sets and figures a bit shabby with "rainbow" models without proper color schemes or some minifigures seem simple or unrecognizable as their characters. Notably, the Necromancer was an outright case of OffTheShelfFX, his minifigure being an unaltered Evil Wizard from 2007 ''Toys/LEGOCastle'' sets!
** A lot of figures received upgrades over the years as the authors had more pieces available. The Necromancer, following his initial appearances, returned with a new beard and clothes. (Also, he sometimes took his hat off.) Character appearance upgrades usually received a LampshadeHanging, such as Scorpius and Hermione "looking really pale all of a sudden" or references to nice new haircuts.

* BadassDecay: Voldemort's not nearly as powerful as he was in the books, possibly justified by him now being in his younger form. Arguably, he's just as powerful (possibly moreso, now that [[spoiler: his soul is whole]]), it's just that the fear he inspired is pretty much gone.

** ArtImitatesLife: Unfortunately, this happens all the time in real life governments.

To quote the trope description “ It only applies when there is no meaningful conflict because everyone is awful and the world sucks, and therefore there are no stakes for the audience. If people enjoy the work despite its tone, this trope does not apply.”

* DarknessInducedAudienceApathy: The LEGO presentation, slight comedic tone, and somewhat over-the-top plot elements throws some readers off as the plot gets more serious, and the massive shake-ups of status quo as [[spoiler: the Wizarding World's masquerade is exposed and World War III breaks out under assult from magical Middle Eastern terrorists]] may be a bit too much for some people to want to keep reading.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: The crossovers can come off like this, particularly the ''Film/MeninBlack'' cameo early on, and especially the holiday special that fuses the Wizarding World into the universes of both ''Film/TheSantaClause'' and ''Series/StargateSG1'', of all things. The treatment of Middle Earth of ''Literature/TheHobbit'' as canon to Earth's past takes it a step further.

This is YMMV, but it's not the right trope.

* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Salazar Slytherin being depicted as a man whose historical image of a pureblood obsessor was manufactured to cover up a rocky relationship with Helga Hufflepuff, and that for a dark wizard of his skill, the Chamber of Secrets would "surely" hold something more than a basilisk that would be invaluable to his heir.

** An advanced Time-Turner that can send people tens of years back in time, done by children of the Trio. It certainly does show how ''Cursed Child'' was considered to be similar to fanfiction.

This is a misuse of the "Crazy Awesome" trope. Also some YMMV of my own.

* ArchivePanic: At several years old, the comic is getting there.

* CrazyAwesome: In one of the chapters, a reincarnated Voldemort attacks the North Pole and takes over the job of Santa Claus. Harry, his kids, friends, and a mind-alteration-proof muggle cop all head towards the north pole to stop him, but the cop calls [[Series/StargateSG1 Stargate Command]] in order to call in a favor. A battle ensues at the north pole, which is ended when Voldemort's sled is blown up by an [[Series/StargateAtlantis F-302 piloted by Shepard and McKay.]] And all of this- ALL OF THIS- is done in Lego. That's right- the people who made this constructed an F-302, the North Pole, Stargate Command, and the various other locations in the story, all out of LEGO.

That's right- with shoddy LEGO minifigs and models, is somewhat amusing. At times the people who made this constructed an F-302, comic feels just like a story a rather mature kid would tell playing with his own toys.
