* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: Godzilla bodyslamming Megaguirus. The icing on the cake is that there's an upclose of shot of Megagurius looking up with the closest thing to an OhCrap the prop can get before Godzilla falls down on it.
** Hell, there are several moments in their fight that border on slapstick comedy. For example, when Megaguirus drains Godzilla's energy, he attempts to use his atomic breath on her, only for it to come out as a wimpy little flame that barely reaches in front of his face. The cherry on top is Godzilla's confused body language and Megagurius giving a short squeak that basically says "Yeah, this is happening, bitch."
** Earlier, theres a part where Megaguirus knocks Godzilla into the Fuji TV broadcasting building, toppling half of it. Megaguirus lands on the intact half. Then she looks down at Godzilla, opens her mouth, and waves one of her front claws, a gesture suggesting she's either mocking him for falling or waving goodbye before knocking the rest of the building down on top of him. And the whole time, Godzill is just glaring up at her, immensely pissed off.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Kiriko Tsujimori. Her main motivation s to get revenge on Godzilla for the death of her commanding officer, but said death happened because she didn’t obey his orders to retreat and he tried to drag her away physically; at no point does she take responsibility for this, and no one else calls her out for it. She also has a tendency to act cold and mean to her allies, particularly Hajime Kudo.

** The absence of Rodan or indeed any mention of him, given that the principal antagonists originated with his film, is noteworthy in and of itself. Especially since Megaguirius’ demonstrated abilities are more suited to a battle with the flying Fire Demon rather than the King of the Monsters.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: Many have noted that the premise of [[AlternateHistory the Oxygen Destroyer never existing and this Godzilla being the same one from 1954]] had potential to be expanded upon, perhaps by having the main characters try to understand how this creature was able to survive being an irritated dinosaur for decades and how it’s evolved into its modern design. Instead, nothing comes of this concept aside for being the setup to this movie’s universe.

* JustHereForGodzilla: The movie is rather mediocre at best but the climatic fight scene between the two title monsters is generally considered the best scene in the film and the only reason to watch it.

* FunnyAneurysmMoment: Could double as HilariousInHindsight, but the "Kids Kingdom" show-within-a-show predates most of the kids-themed Youtube channels in 2017 (When it comes with the first half of this trope, some of the "kids-themed" channels provide cringeworthy (albeit varied) stuff).

** On that notion, the fight between Godzilla and Megaguirus is portrayed in a ''strangely'' uncomfortable way, with off-kilter camera techniques being utilized, along with the near-total lack of music. Plus, Godzilla's grunts sound oddly like, of all things, a ScareChord.

Someone put the wrong character there, it was Sugiura who crossed it.

The belly flop is just another move in their fight. It is not bizarre or out of place enough to qualify as a BLAM.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: During the final fight, Godzilla leaps into the air and bellyflops onto Megaguirus. It’s never even reference afterwords.
