* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments:
** A small moment at the racetrack if the player is following Muramasa's route. After a small heartfelt discussion between her and Kageaki atop an observation platform it then leads to the following exchange:
-->'''Kageaki:''' By the way...\\
'''Muramasa:''' Yes?\\
'''Kageaki:''' How do I get down from here?\\
''(Camera pans out with an arrow pointing at their current position high above ground)''\\
'''Muramasa:''' What I want to know is how you got up here in the first place.
** Muramasa's attempts at cooking. It has to be seen to be believed as it starts to almost sound like the third world war inside the kitchen. There's being bad, and there's Muramasa.

* {{Anvilicious}}: The story is very unsubtle with its "Killing is bad" aesop. While it is only suing that aesop as a segue into its other themes about deconstructing heroism, it can sometimes come across as way too preachy for some people.

Added DiffLines:

* HypeBacklash: Perhaps inevitable but the VN is often heralded as one of the best ever written and as such there are those that end up reading it thanks to the hype and then not getting what the praise was all about.

Added DiffLines:

* ToughActToFollow: Full Metal Daemon Muramasa is ''the'' Tough Act to Follow for Nitro+ with it not only being heralded as one of their best visual novels, but one of the best visual novels ever written across the entire medium, period. Due to this, all of their future releases have to deal with the fact that they are in this VN's shadow.

* CultClassic: The VN is often heralded as one of the best ever written within the medium, and yet it is hardly known of outside of the very hardcore visual novel audience.

Added DiffLines:

* MemeticMutation: "[[TheUnsmile Smiling Kageaki]]". Kageaki's horrible attempt to appear approachable has earned itself quite the reputation within the fandom. The fact that the same smile appeared again when he roped Muramasa into wearing a maid outfit flung this straight into MemeticMolester territory as well.

* AnticlimaxBoss: Despite his appearence and the fact that he's particularly a [[spoiler:PhysicalGod]], the entire confrontation between Kageaki / Muramasa and [[spoiler: Majin Ukyo]] is pretty much the most anticlimatic "fight" in the entire story. That might as well have been the point [[spoiler: since it happens directly before the final battle between Kageaki and Hikaru]].

* MoralEventHorizon: [[spoiler:In the epilogue Ichizo crosses the horizon and then some by first not only making seem like he had killed Muramasa just as it seemed like Kageaki was about to get some peace in his life in order to goat him into falling to a blind rage with the real kicker being that Muramasa is still alive and this whole thing was just to make Kageaki kill her himself. Ichizo did all of this, including letting himself be killed, just to make Kageaki suffer. If his past actions hadn't made him appear vile enough, this is what cinches it]].

* ThatOneLevel: Two words that is sure to make even the most hardcore fans of the VN squirm would be "Airship section". In one portion of the ''Nemesis'' route Kageaki has to infiltrate an airship and what up to this point had been a fairly normal VN in terms of structure undergoes an UnexpectedGameplayChange and turns into something closer to an AdventureGame with some parts even involving some ViolationOfCommonSense. Needless to say, if the player had avoided a guide up until this point, here is where they whip it out.

** Much later one that once again involves an UnexpectedGameplayChange. [[spoiler:During the final battle against Ginseigo, it once again shifts from a visual novel to a puzzle game where Muramasa needs to apply her powers in a certain way. It is quite a difficult puzzle that require not only math skills but also some lateral thinking in order to solve making it once again quite the spike in difficulty from what is otherwise a visual novel]].

This might not be the best trope to this, but I do feel like Muramasa might be more popular than the game itself.

to:

* BestKnownForTheFanservice: For most people, Muramasa's human form, which mainly becomes relevant in only one of the game's routes, is the only thing they have heard of the game due to her alluring figure.
