** Eddy gets hit with it a lot. Granted, he isn't exactly a saint, saint and he does tend to get himself and the other Eds in trouble due to his scams and jerkass behavior, but lots of fans demonize him to make Edd look better in comparison. This is ignoring the fact that he does care about his friends deep down, even though he doesn't show it as much. Also, Kevedd [=KevEdd=] writers usually portray him as a homophobe.homophobe in fan-fictions]].

* RootingForTheEmpire: Eddy is disliked by pretty much everyone InUniverse for his scams and bullying (at least until the movie, when the other kids found out that Eddy's brother was worse than him in terms of bullying others). Yet many fans support him as opposed to the kids.

** Edd has an episode entirely dedicated to finding a shower after his parents chose to renovate the bathroom without his input. He can't seem to be unable to start his day on the right foot without a shower. If he can't get a shower, he'll whine, go insane, and invite all manner of germs and filth upon himself.

This is pretty understandable, due to good hygiene being an important quality in human beings.

** Is Ed's father really an apathetic {{Jerkass}} or is he helping Ed by not bothering to punish him.

** Kevin's parents are an interesting case. Despite being TheBully seems to have a good relationship with his father, but he doesn't spoil him either. When Kevin got his report card, he said that his dad would be proud of him, but there was never any mention of his mother there, or the entire series for that matter. Some have theorized that Kevin's JerkAss behavior comes from implications that his parents are either divorced or his mother straight up [[ParentalAbandonment abandoned him and his dad]].

* MoralEventHorizon: In "Little Ed Blue," if [[UngratefulBastard harming his own close friends who are just trying to help him]] isn't bad enough, Ed nearly crosses it when he attempts to break Plank in half in a blind rage against Jonny's pleas, which can be equivalent to killing someone if Plank [[MaybeMagicMaybeMundane was in fact a sentient being]]. Had not Jonny [[spoiler: removed Ed's shoe that removes a pebble which was the source of his angry self]] to save his friend's "life," this would have been Ed's MoralEventHorizon, even for a GentleGiant that Ed is usually in this show.
** Near the end of the Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy series, [[spoiler: Eddy's Brother]] crossed this within seconds of making his first appearance when he [[spoiler: began to mercilessly beat the shit out of Eddy]], and freely admit he's always done this to him.
*** [[spoiler: The Eds themselves are implied to have crossed this before the beginning of "The Big Picture Show."]]

** Jimmy. He does deserve some hate from the fandom for being a BitchInSheepsClothing, slyly going along with Sarah’s {{jerkass}} behavior, and for antagonizing the Eds in episodes when the Eds don’t bother him or in some cases when only one Ed (usually Eddy) is responsible for his suffering (If it Smells Like an Ed comes to mind). Some of the hate, on the other hand, can go too far and can be unwarranted. Many fans hate Jimmy for his CampStraight tendencies, for not having masculine traits like the other male characters, and for being a crybaby. This is ignoring the fact that Jimmy is younger than the other male characters, so it should be unsurprising for him to be “wimpier “and “cry baby-ish.” This is pretty unfair, as it re-enforces society’s standards on males and that something is wrong with males who have more feminine traits, interests, and hobbies.

** Jimmy gets this most of the time. While he has some BitchInSheepsClothing tendencies (like most characters at some point), he is for the most part just a sensitive, gentle little boy. Yet fans still demonize him mostly because of the infamous "If It Smells Like An Ed" episode.

* AccidentalAesop: Despite the Kanker Sisters earning the ire of many fans for [[DoubleStandardRapeFemaleOnMale playing sexual harassment of men for laughs]], it still succeeds in teaching men how much it sucks to get sexually harassed.

** Eddy gets ''a lot'' of this. Many fans claim that Kevin, Sarah, and ''Jimmy'' are the biggest jerks on the show (they also happen to be the three biggest [[TheScrappy scrappies]]) and give Eddy a free pass because "he is not bad, it's all his brother's fault". This despite the fact that, FreudianExcuse or not, Eddy is blatantly ''much'' meaner than Jimmy throughout the show, and that Kevin and Sarah are mainly jerks to the Eds while Eddy acts like this to pretty much everyone.

** Jimmy; thanks to "If It Smells Like an Edd", fans either think he's one of the biggest [[TheWoobie woobies]] on the show or just as much of a twerp as Sarah.
