Breaking with Lucifer in the belief humanity should serve rather than be elevated, Abaddon led the [[RapePillageAndBurn Time of Atrocities]] where he saw entire cities put to the torch and humans slaughtered and enslaved in huge numbers. With Asmodeus, Abaddon had human women raped to produce the {{Nephilim}} and kill the angels Lucifer entrusted with educating humanity. One of the first Earthbound, Abaddon emerged from Torment as a ravenous monster dedicated to spiting Lucifer and [[KillAllHumans destroying humanity]], wiping out entire civilizations and promoting as much bloody horror as possible.

Upon the end times, Lucifer reveals himself to sway humanity, the Fallen and even the Earthbound how he wishes, defeating some of his old lieutenants with brilliant tactics to place things exactly how he desires and kick off the final battle for the fate of humankind.

* GrowingTheBeard: The core rulebook is generally agreed to not be very good. The game only really found its feet with ''Houses of the Fallen'' (which fleshed out the backstory and mythology) and the ''Player's Guide'' and ''Storyteller Companion'' (which added a number of essential rules).
