* EnjoyTheStorySkipTheGame: The overall game, while rarely considered bad, has received a mixed reception over the years thanks to its glitches and unfinished nature. However, the writing and humor are considered to be some of the best in the series, particularly for how the script fleshes out the dynamic between Crash and Cortex.

** That skunk in the beginning who rants about his role as a perpetually-moving video game enemy, only to be pushed towards a wall of nitro crates by Crash right after. It is considered the game's own EstablishingCharacterMoment, at least in terms of humor.

* PortingDisaster: Not technically a "port" in the traditional sense, but when the UsefulNotes/{{Xbox}} version of ''Twinsanity'' is played on an UsefulNotes/Xbox360, you'll be subjected to an absurd amount of framerate drops and slowdown (''Twinsanity'' targets 60 FPS, but whenever it drops below that, the game speed slows down with it). This makes certain areas of the game nigh-unplayable when too much is happening on-screen at once ("Rooftop Rampage," a large outdoor level with Nina, is hit particularly hard by this, almost never running at full speed). It's rather telling that, while ''[[VideoGame/CrashBandicootTheWrathOfCortex Wrath of Cortex]]'' was made available as a downloadable title on the Xbox 360 Marketplace, ''Twinsanity'' was not.

** Evil Coco is an even bigger case: she doesn't even appear at all in the finished project, but a lot of fans see this as a missed opportunity, she has been the subject of a lot of fan art, and she even became an alternate skin for Coco in ''Nitro-Fueled''.

* EnsembleDarkhorse: Evil Coco is this to an extreme: she doesn't even appear at all in the finished project, but a lot of fans see this as a missed opportunity and she has been the subject of a lot of fan art. Evil Crash also gets a lot of love, even though bar a skin in ''VideoGame/CrashTagTeamRacing'' that vaguely resembles him as well as passing references in ''VideoGame/CrashTeamRacingNitroFueled'', he disappeared after this game.

Evil Crash also only appears in the last part of the game, but he gets a lot of love, even though bar love from fans of the franchise. * HilariousInHindsight: Doubles as HeartwarmingInHindsight. When Cortex is trying to convince Crash to ream up with him against the Evil Twins, he claims that he had been like a father figure to Crash. Come ''VideoGame/CrashBandicoot4ItsAboutTime'', the Flashback Tapes reveal that Cortex did have fatherly affection towards Crash when training him to be his general.

** The walrus chef who chases Crash after the boss fight with N. Gin, between telling Crash, for whatever reason, owes him fresh meat for his pot (Concept Art showing Crash had fallen into his pot, thus the chase) and being the hardest sequence in the last part of [[ThatOneLevel Hi-Sea Hijinks]].

** Due to CheckpointStarvation in the sense of World Boxes, which save the game, Hi-Seas Hijinks. The level is somewhat difficult and contains a [[ThatOneSidequest very difficult gem]] leading up to a fight with N. Gin. It's rather disappointing and easy, but then the Rusty Walrus shows up, who will mercilessly chase you into fire, bottomless pits, and Nitro crates in a two-part chase sequence, made all the more harder by having barely over a second or two to react to any obstacles with the walrus never far behind. Once you get past him, the level's finally over... but before you reach a World Box, you need to beat N. Tropy and N. Brio, a tougher fight than N. Gin but not as tough as the Rusty Walrus. If you game over before escaping the Rusty Walrus or beating N. Trophy and N. Brio, you start right outside the beginning of N. Gin's ship.

* ObviousBeta: Not the worst case (certainly playable), but the previously mentioned [[AbortedArc Vice-Versa Reversa Device]], the fact that going through an already cleared area makes the game pretend it's your first time through, N. Tropy striking a T-pose if you neglect to hit him in time when he's vulnerable, and Coco (who is frozen) damaging you if you touch her in a scene shortly after that, among many other things. And certain cutscenes lack sound effects, such as when the Evil Twins' robot takes form. It's a little bit of a mess.

** Dingodile is generally agreed to be the hardest: he has a wide variety of attacks and is good at following your movement, with your only solace being in his following a pattern and being able to abuse the four things surrounding him to dodge some of his attacks easier.

** Dingodile is generally agreed to be the hardest: he has a wide variety of attacks and is good at following your movement, with your only solace being in his following a pattern and being able to abuse the four things surrounding him to dodge some of his attacks easier.easier all while having 4 HP, meaning it’s going to be a long fight. A beta version of the game shows the fight was actually meant to have 5 HP with the last part having him doing up and down attack while following you, rather than spinning around for his first move, meaning it was going to be ''harder.''

* JerkassWoobie: While Cortex is most definitely a jerk who brings most of his abuse onto himself (particularly regarding his treatment of the Evil Twins and Crash), it is this game that truly cements him as the perennial ButtMonkey of the series, with half the mechanics revolved around abusing him in some way, and meeting a rather bleak end by his arch enemy...

(Albeit one he brought entirely on himself.)

* CryForTheDevil: It's pretty easy to feel sorry for the Evil Twins, they used to be innocent parrots before Cortex's experiment irrevocably changed them. When they get eaten by Evil Crash in the end, it's not hard to feel pity toward them.

* HarsherInHindsight: The game was infamously cut up and released unfinished, leading to a rather short if fun experience. What was the development name for the game internationally? ''Crash'' '''''Unlimited'''''.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The entire soundtrack is performed acapella, and much of it can be described as this. Yeah, ''all'' of the music is people's voices.
