** The crew show shades of this during the various Star Wars commentaries, particular in the crew's hilarious commentary of the abominable "Film/AttackOfTheClones". For example, on multiple occasions, Ryan and Johnny say that Master Sifo-Dyas is an alter-ego of Count Dooku/Tyranus. [[spoiler: Sifo-Dyas was infact a friend of Count Dooku, who was promptly murdered by him as his first action as a Sith]]. Otherwise, apart from the occasional CriticalResearchFailure, it should be noted the guys are extremely knowledgeable about Star Wars.

* FanHater: Ted was once pretty bad about this, saying on several occasions that he doesn't get how [insert game he doesn't like] has any fans, and frequently starting arguments with the game's defenders in the comment section. He was probably most condescending toward Gen 4 fans (and in general was much more vocal about his hatred of the games in earlier videos). Recently, he's shown some awareness and remorse for this trope (though not to the point where he is above [[PlayingTheVictimCard putting those he antagonized in the wrong for any lingering resentment]]). He has also been on the receiving end of this trope for trying to portray ''VideoGame/MetroidOtherM'' and ''VideoGame/SonicBoom'' as SoOkayItsAverage.

** Ted got a lot of this (especially from Matt) with his [[BlatantLies favorable]] opinions of the first Legend of Zelda. To be fair, having never played the game before making a bet with Johnny, he had to [[GuideDangIt keep a walkthrough]] open the entire time; even Zelda 1 fans will admit that the game can't be enjoyed without memorizing how to complete it. He was also [[ButtMonkey heavily picked on]] by the other commentators for his constant deaths.

*** On the topic of Pokémon, Ryan with [[VideoGame/PokemonRubyAndSapphire Gen 3]]. It's not that he outright bashes it so much as that he feels the need to ''repeatedly'' say that he doesn't know about its Pokémon nor considers them worth learning about. Johnny actually has a similar attitude toward Gen 3, but gets off with relatively little hate for it because he's not saying "Gen 3, don't care" ''every'' time he sees one of its Pokémon. Ted's apathy toward Gen 3 has also netted him some ire, but not nearly to the extent of Gen 4. Gen V seems to be the first generation since Gen II all 3 that still care have completely embraced, particularly Black and White 2.

** Ted is steadily becoming the most divisive member of the crew. Examples include his voice being grating to some (it's probably his accent), coming off as egotistical (both in his [[FanHater intolerance for people liking games against his bias]] and his HolierThanThou attitude toward anyone with [[CantTakeCriticism the slightest issue toward him]]), his tendency to [[AccentuateTheNegative overstate]] his issues with games that he has distaste for, and to some, coming off as preachy and stubborn. It's worth noting, however, due to some fans dicking with him, he's stated he's trying to become better about this sort of thing. ** Alexander (Spax 3) is regarded as one of the more annoying commentators. He tends to yell loudly in general, especially when trying to crack jokes, and he has a bad tendency to talk over the other guys when he's trying to get something across. Some people believe that the guys (Lewis, Johnny, and Ryan at the time) were equally annoyed with him, as he hasn't shown back up to guest commentate since 2009.

** "Peach is useful!" A particular phrase used extensively by Lewis during ''VideoGame/SuperMario3DWorld'' that very quickly wore out its welcome for most viewers, compounded by his deadpan delivery and his inexperience with the game that caused deaths for all four players. He eventually apologized for using the phrase too much.

* DudeNotFunny: ** In one part of the ''VideoGame/SuperMarioSunshine'' playthrough, when Ryan finally gets to the Mecha-Bowser fight, Lewis and Johnny joke about how the face makes it look like it has Down Syndrome. ** This one is EXTREMELY subjective as it was deemed a CrowningMomentOfFunny... but how many people found making a baby play a drinking game and having it die ala ''VideoGame/LuigisMansion'' actually funny, BlackComedy aside?

* BaseBreaker: Amanda. To clarify, it's not because she's a girl. It's because she has no charisma or sense of commentary identity, likely due to lack of experience. Because of this, she comes across to some as trying too hard to be funny and being awkward as a whole when talking when compared to the others, seemingly ending sentences abruptly with irrelevant topics and then just stopping, leading to an awkward silence. Some people will endlessly bitch about her even when she's not in a commentary. Others are more optimistic and say she's getting better.

Lampshaded by Ted in the opening. -->'''Ted:''' John, what were you drinking? * BlatantLies: A lot of fans, and the entirety of the BSC crew (with the exception of Ted), believe that Ted got lost in front of dungeon 3 in Zelda 1. This is because Ted made a jump cut in front of the dungeon, and Ted stated previously that whenever Ted made a jump cut, he's looking at the guide. He claims that he was just starting a new recording, but very few people believe him.

Johnny states in ''VideoGame/KirbysReturnToDreamland'' that Hal is making the 4th installment of the VideoGame/SuperSmashBros series when in fact Namco Bandai are making it. ** Ryan is the one that most often makes factual mistakes about the topic at hand, such as repeatedly stating Pokemon Gold and Silver came out in 2001, when it was actually 2000, and saying Captain Planet isn't in Creator/CartoonNetwork: [[VideoGame/CartoonNetworkPunchTimeExplosion Punch Time Explosion]], when he is actually the last character you unlock. He also said that Mega Man 9 and 10 were for the Virtual Console, when they were actually for WiiWare. This one could be written off as a slip of the tongue. The team also seemed all convinced that the period between The First Movie and Gold and Silver was extremely brief, when in reality it was almost a full year after the movie came out that the games hit America.
