* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Lucky Piquel. An {{Expy}} of Eddie Valiant, he is notoriously, for a Disney cartoon, bigoted against [[{{Toontown}} Toons]]. Fandom can't decide if he's a NobleBigot, a StraightMan, or just an exasperated cop working a particularly annoying beat; imagine having to work security at a FanConvention filled with particularly dedicated cosplayers who never break character. Regularly. Now imagine they can actually ''do'' the crazy stuff their characters do. He has to deal with the RuleOfFunny regularly overriding the laws of physics, getting his car and possessions trashed, being personally humiliated and sometimes even ''[[AmusingInjuries hurt]]'' by Toons. And despite this, he keeps showing up for work and actually enjoys himself on occasion - Once when he and Bonkers were chasing a suspect through ToonTown, they come to the intersection of Squash and Stretch Streets; he's actually sort of amused by the contortions Bonkers pulls off under their influence. Slightly less so when it turns out to have a similar (but fortunately less extreme) effect on humans.

* HilariousInHindsight: Lucky is usually telling off Bonkers for being - well - his toony self and not taking his job seriously. However, if you take away the wild emotional streak, Bonkers is actually a competent cop, and was one step ahead of Lucky on several cases.

* {{Hatedom}}: ''Bonkers'' gets a healthy dose of hatred from the ''WesternAnimation/ChipNDaleRescueRangers'' fandom. Why? Because ''Bonkers'' was the show that bumped ''Rescue Rangers'' off the DisneyAfternoon lineup, and the fandom has never forgiven the show (or Disney) for it. Rival studio WarnerBros wasn't too thrilled with the show either; they wanted to use the title "Bonkers" for their own cartoon comedy series, which they eventually named ''WesternAnimation/{{Animaniacs}}''. (The ''Animaniacs'' writers rarely passed up a chance to take potshots at ''Bonkers'', like on the Slappy Squirrel cartoon "Slappy Goes Walnuts" where she tries to eat an overly-sugary cereal Skippy likes and concludes that cereal like that is rotting his brain, which is why he likes ''Bonkers''.)

**The show itself. Was it an underrated classic that never got its due or a poor replacement for ''Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers''.

* HilariousInHindsight: In "Toon With No Name", Lucky reacts to Fall-Apart's story by saying "There are never any Martians from Pluto in Westerns!" [[Film/CowboysAndAliens In 2011, a certain western featuring aliens was released.]]

* BrokenBase: Over whether the Lucky or Miranda episodes are better. People who like Lucky's episodes tend to like the opposite personalities playing off each other plus having extra characters like Fall-Apart, whereas Miranda fans prefer the greater emphasis on humor and her less abrasive personality.

* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Some fans have this reaction to the Miranda episodes. All of the regulars from the Lucky episodes were gone, and Bonkers became more of a ButtMonkey.
** Although there are fans who prefer the Miranda episodes as she's far less abrasive than Lucky and also prefer the greater emphasis on humor.

* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: The end of "Is Toon Fur Really Warm?" where Marilyn hugs Skunky Skunk up until the MoodWhiplash.
** In "The Day The Toon Stood Still," Toons are literally running out of time and fading away. Just before Lucky confronts the BigBad, Bonkers tells him that if he doesn't hurry, all Toons everywhere will return to the drawing boards and eventually blank paper. Lucky is visibly shaken by this revelation and rushes into action. Moments later, when all hell breaks loose, you can see (for just a second or two) Lucky holding Bonkers and Fall-Apart Rabbit as they fearfully look on.
** From "Basic Spraining," just two words: "Trust me."

* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: Any time when Lucky applies and believes in ToonPhysics.
