Misuse. Broken Base is for conflicts that split the fanbase in at least two camps of roughly similar sizes. This is just one-sided complaining. Also, Example Indentation.

** The entire comic trilogy has been gradually receiving more criticisms, partly due to the premise itself of Aang agreeing to kill Zuko should he ever become like Ozai--with Aang seemingly contemplating it more throughout the story even more than he ever did regarding offing Ozai himself, not to mention the readers not being fond of the treatment of Zuko in the comics in general. Ultimately, he does denounce breaking his personal oath and shares how much he cares about Zuko still--and author notes clarified that it was less about Aang suddenly being more eager to kill, and about the exploration of taking a life in Buddhist beliefs. There are still fans who felt the execution was lacking, though.

If the reaction is in-universe, it doesn't belong in this page.

* NeverLiveItDown: Kori's determination to protect her hometown, proudness of her interracial family, and progressive view of the world's politics are meant to be her most inspiring traits. However, fans mostly remember her as the rebel who attempted to kill Zuko and [[KarmaHoudini faced no repercussions]].
%%* ShippingBedDeath: Many people feel Aang and Katara have fallen into this, including Sokka and Toph. Once again, "oogie".

Kori may have tried to assassinate Zuko, but to say she insisted on "solving her problems with violence" is factually wrong. After being brought back to Yu Dao, she and her family convince Zuko to leave the colony alone by showing him how its citizens are thriving. Also, she tries to reason with Smellerbee before the other Freedom Fighters escalate the conflict. Changing the entry to Never Live It Down.

* TheScrappy: Kori gets this from fans for her insistence on solving her problems with violence and assassination attempts on Zuko's life. That and the fact that she's a KarmaHoudini. She tried to kill the ''freaking Fire Lord'' and yet she's free to organize a resistance in the colony.

No longer a trope.

%%* ShippingBedDeath: Many people feel Aang and Katara have fallen into this, including Sokka and Toph. Once again, "oogie".
* TastesLikeDiabetes: Aang calling Katara "sweetie" in several panels. ''Ick.'' This is even lampshaded by Sokka, who calls it "Oogie".

Doesn't fit the trope's four criteria. As far as I can tell, Sneers is not particularly hated by fans. Also, any praise he receives from other characters is condescending at best, as everyone is surprised someone like him is in a relationship with a girl like Kori.

* CreatorsPet: Gene Yang has described Sneers as his favorite Freedom Fighter, which is why he brought him back for the trilogy. Yang also, incidentally, paired Sneers with a hot girlfriend (Kori) and had multiple characters lampshade how awesome Sneers was for landing a girlfriend seemingly out of his league.

Misuse. If the conflict died down that easily, it's not a Broken Base.

* BrokenBase:
** Just exactly how canon the books are is a debated topic in the fandom; some fans even feel these books almost a fanfiction, and bringing it up risks starting a fan war. (Though not ''nearly'' on the same scale as the ship wars...) As of the third trilogy Fan Hate has died down and the comics have become more accepted into canon. Still there is discourse on whether they are a good addition or not. With the end of WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra, excitement for the comics has risen as they have become the sole source of continuity for the Franchise, with many fans expressing a desire to see a Korra comic. Their wish was finally granted with "Turf Wars."
** The entire Katara/Aang romance was this by the end of the show and the comics have made it even worse. Is it cute or annoying with the non-stop "sweetie" pet names and oogieness? Or for the ever popular [[TakeAThirdOption Third Option]] annoying, yet understandable given the "honeymoon phase" for new couples.

There is zero evidence for this interpretation. In fact, it contradicts the events of the book, since Suki is stil clearly in love with Sokka.

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Was Suki's concern over Zuko because of a BodyguardCrush? Or because of concern for a (platonic) friend she grew close with during their travels in the Gaang?
