** The main one being, the use of supers and super meters to regulate them. And, by VideoGame/StreetFighterIV, Capcom had even adapated AOF's desperation attacks.

Added DiffLines:

* UncannyValley: While the new animation in Art of Fighting 3 was very impressive for the time, the fluidity looks weird and unnatural at times.

* GoodBadBugs: In at least some arcade versions of Art of Fighting 2, it was possible to win a match by making a lock on your opponent followed by hitting him with a [=KouOuKen=] or equivalent just when he was getting up from the floorThis may not to work with all characters, though. That move would stun the opponent allowing you to give him another lock. Lather, rinse, and repeat.

** Your mileage may SERIOUSLY vary on the point of the dialogue/ending "translations" being more enjoyable. While not as jarringly out of place as in some SNK games, there are more than a few painful attempts at humor in there. Micky quoting Ivan Drago? Fine. Micky quoting Frank Sinatra and John Crawley being implored to come out of retirement to save the president's canary? Ugh.

** Ryo is often mocked as a "Ryu clone", yet his upper and lower body parries which he's had since [=AOF3=], has now become Ryu's V-skill in VideoGame/StreetFighterV. And Ryu's Shinkuu Hadoken becomes closer in appearance to Ryo's Haoh Shokoh Ken with each iteration.

** Likewise, Robert was seen as SNK's answer to Ken. Yet, years later, Ken adapted Robert's propensity for kicks and, by Street Fighter: Alpha had lifted Robert's backstory verbatim as Ken'si.e. that both come from billionaire families and were sent to train at their resoective schools by their fathers.
