* BaldursGate II: Shadows of Amn: This is the offscreen backstory for Kalah the illusionist, who somehow gains great power and turns the circus where the worked into a BiggerOnTheInside fantasy world where things are not as they seem, in order to take revenge on those who made fun of him -- basically making a PowerFantasy real.

Added DiffLines:

* A stage in VideoGame/Mechassault has the player infiltrating a base in a suit of PowerArmor. About halfway through the stage, you find yourself getting chased by a light mech. At the end of the stage, you make you way into a Mech hangar, and find an Atlas in the back. Needless to say, the following stage is extremely cathartic.

** Wizzro's betrayal of Cia in HyruleWarriors. Even though he's still badly wounded from his previous battle against Link and co., Cia immediately tosses him into battle against the Manhandla, whereupon he quite gleefully betrays her for Ganondorf. Averted with Volga, who just decides that she's no longer worthy of his service.

* In VideoGame/Portal 2, after . He directs this attitude towards Glados, who had spent a few seconds calling him an idiot, and you, who had made all this possible for him in the first place and been with him every step of the way; he claims you've been bossing him around constantly when the opposite is true.

* Admit it, you've laughed when you ended a poor mook's existence with the Vanguard Rush from VideoGame/MassEffect2. And you've also probably got a good giggle realizing you're the only one who can do it. And then "Lair of the Shadow Broker" rolled around, and you met [[spoiler: Badass Tela Vasir]]. Not so much funny as just fun.

* Anytime in DawnOfWar: Dark Crusade, when the Imperial Guard manages to deploy a Baneblade. IG is a RedshirtArmy, whose viable tactis boil down to "have more soldiers than the enemy has bullets" and the Baneblade is a huge investment in time and resources. However, the eleven-cannoned behemoth is nearly capable of clearing maps on its own, and when it rolls out... to quote the game:

** Rotom-S (its Fan Forme) is an Electric/Flying type...but still has the ability Levitate (immunity to Ground, which Flying naturally has). Come Gen 6, we get Inverse Battles, where Flying is now weak to Ground...but not Rotom-S, since immunity-granting abilities still function as advertised.
