* JerkAss: Louis Pasteur is portrayed as this, showing no redeemable features whatsoever and generally acts like a stuck up asshole. Even Otto, historical fanboy extraordinaire, cant stand the guy.

* LittleBrotherIsWatching: Larry sometimes points out to Tuddrussel that his ill-behavior has consequences in the form of Otto growing up to be just like him. Tuddrussel does take these warnings to heart and will try to adjust for the kid.

The show was created by Creator/DaveWasson, and [[CartoonCartoons premiered]] on Creator/CartoonNetwork in June 2001 and was cancelled in November 2003. It reran for a time between November 2003 and August 2005 (strangely, [[PeripheryDemographic yet, given its content, appropriately]], after Adult Swim's weeknight line-up before they extended it by an hour and had it end at 6:00 a.m. Eastern standard time), but since then, the show has all but disappeared from the airwaves. Creator/CartoonNetwork did air clips of select episodes on their website as part of the channel's 20th birthday in October 2012, but that was a "limited time only" deal.

* BrokenPedestal: Tuddrussel is devastated to find out that his hero, his ancestor Jeremiah who fought at the Alamo, is a wimpy party planner who wants to roll over for the Mexican army because he's afraid of fighting the massive odds. He doesnt get redeemed either, Larry just inadvertently ruins the party with his crappy ideas and gets the Texans killed.

* MusclesAreMeaningless: Despite Tuddrussels size and strength, he's gotten his ass kicked several times, ranging from experienced Soldiers like General Patton and JoanOfArc, to ''Florence Nightingale''! Mind you, he's won even more fights, so it's really more a matter of whats funny at the time.

* PersonalitySwap: Buck and Larry enter one by accidentally switching their usual areas of habitation and going native in "Hate and Let Hate." Worth noting because this wasn't done as the usual ''Freaky Friday'' switch in which some magical or scientific third party switches Larry's and Tuddrussell's personalities into each other's bodies, they just happen to be stuck on eachothers side of the sattelite and ends up trying out the others hobbies out of boredom.

* RichardNixonTheUsedCarSalesman: Historical figures are often shown with different jobs. Fittingly, one of them happens to be a used car salesman, though in that case it's AlbertEinstein.

** And Larry himself is fond of making soufflés. ''Making'' only, mind you, since Larry is a robot and has neither the ability to taste or eat. Hell, he doesnt even really have a mouth.

* PyrrhicVictory: "Day of the Larry's" has all the the Larry clones thrown out the airlock and likely the real Larry as well, as the last remaining Larry is heavily implied to be a clone. The Larry then proceeds to laugh maniacally for taking over the real Larry's life....And burdens, as Tuddrussel forces him to clean up the mess whilst he and Otto resume their destructive games. The clone Larry mops the floor as he cries pathetically, likely thinking to himself that getting thrown out the airlock to be more preferable than living out the real Larry's miserable existence.

** According to RobPaulsen's ''Talking Toons'' podcast with Creator/MarkHamill, Pamela Adlon was notorious for cursing during her recordings for Otto (so much so that Paulsen and Hamill had to tell her to cool it whenever a tour came in), so even behind-the-scenes, the show wasn't squeaky-clean.
