** It's got BrianBlessed in the cast! Hugh Grant also turns in a deliciously hammy performance as The Pirate Captain. And he sure likes his ham.
** On the Pirate of the Year entry form, the highest class of [[NoIndoorVoice shouting]] is "BrianBlessed"

** The Pirate Captain and Victoria, when her BerserkButton is pressed. Also, {{BRIAN BLESSED}} as the Pirate King.
** BrianBlessed himself says the Pirate King is the most "larger than life" character in the whole story. Boy, was he right.

Added DiffLines:

* GeniusBonus: "Cutlass Liz" was a real-fake pirate long before this movie. That is, there were "accounts" of a female pirate supposedly named "Cutlass Liz," filled with glaring historical inaccuracies and contradicting years and just far-fetched scenarios. Long story short, "Cutlass Liz" was exactly the kind of over-the-top tall-tale kind of pirate that this movie is parodying. And this movie's Cutlass Liz seems a perfectly fitting depiction of the larger-than-life/not-very-historical figure.

The title was changed for the official reason that the longer title wouldn't take, Albino Pirate's lines were redubbed with an actor known by American audiences, the Pirate Who Likes Sunsets and Kittens was redubbed by [[Series/{{Today}} Al Roker]], and any jokes that were deemed too inappropriate were removed entirely.
