* GassyGastronomy:
** The series liked to do jokes involving radishes making you burp. One example was in ''WesternAnimation/TheHouseOfTomorrow'' where a kitchen appliance is shown that removes the burps from radishes.
** One Screwy Squirrel cartoon has both Squirrel and the dog pursuing him pausing mid-chase for a drink of Coo Coo-Cola, which makes them both burp.

* BlameGame: In ''The Counterfeit Cat'', Blackie the Cat rips a neighbor dog's scalp and ears (in one piece) off said dog's head to wear on his head and disguise himself as a dog in order to catch and eat a canary that's guarded by Spike. By the end of the short, as both Blackie and Spike are deprived of what they seek (the canary and bones), the scalped dog comes at them and sees Spike wearing his scalp. Spike puts it on Blackie's head, who then does the same, and both of them keep literally pointing fingers at each other. The scalped dog then gets his scalp bag, and rips the scalps of off both Blackie and Spike, switches them of place and leaves.

* CartoonConductor: In ''WesternAnimation/MagicalMaestro'', a magician switches places with a conductor so he can get revenge on a performer during a concert, who disallowed the magician as an opening act. Since the magician was using a ''magic wand'' for a baton, he not only had CartoonConductor power over the orchestra, he could also physically change the performer into whatever embarrassing form he wanted.

** Partway through ''The Screwy Truant'', WesternAnimation/ScrewySquirrel suddenly encounters the Big Bad Wolf chasing Little Red Riding Hood, and he protests that they're in the wrong cartoon, pulling down the title cards to prove it.
--->'''Screwy:''' See? ''The Screwy Truant'', featuring Screwy Squirrel.
--->'''Wolf:''' Heh, one of them corny B-pictures, eh?
** ''WesternAnimation/SwingShiftCinderella'': Red and the Wolf run right past the opening title card. Then Red realizes it was the wrong title, so she pulls it back onscreen, and she and the Wolf confirm that the cartoon is in fact called "Swing Shift Cinderella". Then the real story starts.

* {{Determinator}} In "Henpecked Hoboes", George and Junior send a rooster flying to the North Pole by rocket, and he spends the rest of the cartoon relentlessly trying to get back to the barn, and is clearly exhausted and worn out by the time he gets back there. Makes the revenge he gets on the hen worth it though.
