** Indoor plumbing (seen in the opening), Electric lights (during Pete's crowning) and high-quality seamwork (seen on Mickey's and Donald's traditional apparel) certainly were ''not'' in vogue during this time. Lampshaded in the in-character DVDCommentary.

* ColbertBump: Like ''Franchise/{{Tron}}'' before it, an appearance in ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'' did a lot to raise the film's profile.

* KickedUpstairs: Pete actually promotes Mickey, Donald and Goofy to musketeers ''because'' of how unfit for the job they are. He's sure they're too inept to properly serve as Princess Minnie's bodyguards, so they won't interfere with his plans to take over the kingdom.

* CowardlyLion: Donald is portrayed as one in the film. One of the main hooks of the plot is that Mickey, Donald and Goofy all have flaws to overcome. The strange thing is, while Donald already has ''many, many'' flaws, the most famous being his iconic temper, ''extreme'' cowardice isn't one of them. What's more, Donald's temper is still there and isn't portrayed as something he needs to overcome. None of this really ''hurts'' the film, but it's still an odd choice on the writers' part.
