The sequel series to ''WesternAnimation/{{Ben 10}}'', with management taken over from Man of Action by Glen Murakami and DwayneMcDuffie of ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeague'' fame.

Ben "10" Tennyson and his cousin Gwen, now both 15 years old, team up with a reformed Kevin Levin, who is now 16, to stop various evil aliens. Seasons 1 and 2, which were initially one entire season, has them going off against the [[ThoseWackyNazis Nazi-esque]] [[ANazibyAnyOtherName Highbreed]], [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything who are determined to eliminate all other races, leaving the "one true race".]] Compared to the original series, those seasons had a [[DarkerAndEdgier darker and more mature approach]], as well as less filler and more continuity between the episodes. They also matured Ben into an OlderAndWiser, [[TookALevelInBadass more competent]] [[TheHero Hero]], giving him more control over the Omnitrix and amplifying his ChronicHeroSyndrome to almost MessianicArchetype level.

* AntiSmotherLoveTalk: In one episode, Ben's parents find out that their son has been acting as a superhero. They are horrified and attempt to prevent him from returning to the field of battle, even going so far as to ground him and take away his technology so he can't be involved with the battle even remotely. Ben initially sticks to their rules (albeit with some use of LoopholeAbuse), but when Kevin is in trouble during a battle, he tells his parents that he has to do this -- after all, they taught him to do the right thing. When he gets back, they agree to let him continue with the superheroics, but caution him to please be careful.

[[spoiler: But with the ship submerged, Vilgax is able to assume his OneWingedAngel form, a giant squid monster. He then captures and swallows Ben. But fortunately, Ben was able to somehow escape and emerge from the water as Jetray.]]

* ParentalBonus: In the episode "The Gauntlet," Ben brings juice for Kevin and Gwen. Kevin dismissively tells him to go away, so Ben sets the drinks down, but on second thought grabs Kevin's drink and says, "No juice for you!" This is a reference to the ''{{Seinfeld}}'' episode "The Soup Nazi," in which the eponymous character's catchphrase is "NO SOUP FOR YOU!" when proper etiquette is not followed at his soup stand.

*** Actually, the Tiger motif, the wrestler nature and the aggression makes me think of [[NoMoreHeroes Travis Touchdown]]. It also makes him look as if [[MortalKombat Kintaro]] had only two arms.

* CosmicRetcon: So, so many. First it's heavily implied that Gwen is a Magician and even further exemplified when she uses Charmcaster's staff against her despite it only being effective "In the hands of a true magician." What happens in Alien Force? "Er uhhhh magic doesn't exist, you're an energy based alien." Kevin turning out to be just as much as a jerk as he was in the original series and treating his son like garbage? Oh that isn't canon anymore. Alternate timeline.
** Actually, a couple of these can be taken as FridgeBrilliance. Alternate timeline? Ben changed the past by giving his Grandpa the cake (remember that Ben 10K states it was "Something I should have gotten Grandpa 20 years ago."). Magic being energy alien powers? Clarke's third law states that "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
*** Another option: the Anodites use "mana," a term which comes from Austronesian languages where it often translates as "power of a supernatural form"; in other words, magic is a supernatural power.
