Season 3 doesn't really have an Arc Plot, but instead tried to meld in bits of the original series, such as introducing villains of the previous series, putting more filler, [[TookALevelInDumbass severely diminishing Ben's maturity]] and generally toning down the dark tone. The closest thing to an Arc Plot for this season is [[ArchEnemy Vilgax]]'s attempts to finally get his revenge on Ben. This season was generally considered less good than the previous ones, mainly because it made Vilgax go through a severe case of VillainDecay.

This series' GrandFinale set up the sequel series ''WesternAnimation/Ben10UltimateAlien''.

This show as a whole is notable for starting a major BrokenBase in the Ben 10 fandom: while a lot of fans complained about the often unexplained (or badly explained) changes both in-story and amongst the characters, and remained faithful only to the original series, many others appreciated to see Ben finally getting mature after all the AesopAmnesia in the original show, as well as the CerebusSyndrome it led to. It's commonly believed that the first two seasons were good to decent while the third one was disappointing. In the end, Alien Force was popular enough to last three seasons and allow the franchise to go on, spawning [[WesternAnimation/Ben10UltimateAlien a similar sequel]] before it was decided to try going back to the Original Series' roots with ''WesternAnimation/Ben10Omniverse''.

Added DiffLines:

* SecretTestOfCharacter: In the episode "Above And Beyond", the Plumbers' Helpers go to a satellite station to rescue Max from Ben who has gone {{Ax Crazy}}. After each of them are defeated by Ben individually, they realize that they must work together to defeat him and manage to throw him into outer space. Unfortunately, the escalading battle kicked the station out of orbit sending it crashing on to crashing onto London. Having no other choice, the group is forced to [[HeroicSacrifice sacrifice themselves]] by destroying the satellite before it crashes so as to save the lives of millions of people. However, the {{Self Destructive Mechanism}} turns out to be a dud just as Max and Ben arrive and put the station back into place. It is then revealed that Ben was only pretending to be evil to test the Plumbers Helpers' skills of teamwork and that the satellite station is actually a training facility for cadet Plumbers. As a result of their best efforts, the gang passed and are accepted into the Plumbers Academy.

* RapidAging: This happens to Kevin in "Paradox" when he tries to punch an interdimensional creature and becomes an old man. Paradox is somewhat affected as well as he says he can still feel the eons passing. However, since he exists outside of time, it doesn't do anything to him.
