* GreekLetterRanks: Alphas are a wolf pack's best fighters and hunters, and 'omega' is a catchall term for everyone else. It's an Omega's role to defuse tension within and between packs, so the alphas don't fight unnecessarily. The two types aren't allowed to mate, and omegas don't have much official power, yet every pack onscreen has some.

* {{Parental Negligence}}: Kate and Humphrey through out the sequels are shown pretty irresponsible as they are constantly unaware of their young pups' activity and often don't correct them in their bad behavior; which is made more jarring since it's never acknowledged.

A computer-animated movie film released by Creator/LionsGate and produced by Creator/RichardRich and Crest Animation, in Fall 2010.

A direct-to-video sequel (the first of four planned), ''Alpha and Omega 2: A Howl-iday Adventure'', was released Oct 8, 2013, and introduces Humphrey and Kate's pups: Stinky and Claudette, the alphas, and Runt, an omega. Despite the subtitle, the film barely involves holiday overtones and focuses more on everyone's attempts at rescuing Runt from King, a SocialDarwinist wolf determined to take the territories for himself. The next, ''The Great Wolf Games'', released March 25, 2014, concerned the cubs' participation in the eponymous sporting event in a RagtagBunchOfMisfits (particularly Claudette who connects with a rival team's leading cub Fleet). On October 7, 2014, ''Legend of the Saw Tooth Cave'' released on DVD. This time Runt decides to help a she-wolf named Daria who was chased out of her pack when she was young.

** Also, according to TheOtherWiki, [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gray_Wolf#Relationships_with_other_predators evidently wolves can sometimes win]] against Bears, "Depending on context". 'Course, given the situation shown in the film: yeah, they'd be in trouble.

* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: After Humphrey breaks up a feud between the Eastern amd Western wolf clans:
-->'''Humphrey''': Guys, guys, come on. Don't get your fur in a bunch, you wolves are making us look bad. Look, the caribou are laughing at us!
-->[The caribou show their tail ends to the wolves, mooning them]
-->'''Humphrey''': Ugh, now that's a moon I don't wanna howl to.
** Later, when Garth and Lilly are seeing each other:
-->'''Garth''': So, why's this called "Rabbit-Poo Mountain"?
-->'''Lilly''': Because this is where rabbits like to poo.
-->'''Garth''': Ewwww! Gross!
-->'''Lilly''' [giggles]: I was just kidding.

* GranolaGirl: Reba and Janice, the vegetarian she-wolves

* GranolaGirl: [[GranolaGirl Granola Girls]]: Reba and Janice, the vegetarian she-wolves she-wolves.
-->'''Humphrey''': It's Spring! Whoa, look who's back from alpha school.
-->'''Salty''': Forget about it Humphrey, Kate's an Alpha now, and you're an Omega.
-->'''Humphrey''': We're friends, ok?
-->'''Mooch''': Exactly, just friends, end of story.
-->'''Salty''': You better set your sites over there: Reba and Janice, the "veggie-tarians".
** Later on in the film, the full moon showdown between Tony and Winston is interrupted by:
-->'''Reba''', '''Janice''' [wearing daisy wreaths]: Stop the insanity, go organic!
