* ContinuitySnarl: A minor yet strange example is in a flashback to the first movie, where Humphrey is being chased around in the sky with the birds and collides with the moose in the stream. In the original movie, Humphrey collides with the moose's antlers, while in the flashback version, he collides with the moose's butt ([[ToiletHumor complete with a fart sound effect]]) and falls into the river.

* GenreSavvy: Lilly immediately figures out the Rogues' plan to steadily remove Alphas of their pack using Runt as bait.

* TookALevelInBadass: Lilly is a lot more GenreSavvy and confident in this film, repeatedly insisting she will fight alongside Garth and almost becoming something of a BattleCouple. Although it's also a bit inconsistent, as she does willingly stay out of the conflict, only to reappear alongside the others as though she was there the whole time. See also BewareTheNiceOnes

** Possibly a case of DidDoTheResearch as this troper recalls reading a documented study of one wolf pack where it first appeared to researchers that the omega was "bullied" into his position, but it became apparent that the male omega wolf purposefully distracted and engaged others in play to diffuse tense situations; when he grew too old, this "responsibility" was passed to a younger female wolf.
