* BareMidriffsAreFeminine: Daphne does this for the entire film--although it's justified in that she's probably wearing a bikini underneath her main outfit for the film. Meanwhile Velma goes for more covering but location-appropriate attire.

* BareMidriffsAreFeminine: As TheFashionista of the team, with her winning a design contest being the reason for them traveling to Hawaii, Daphne does this for goes the entire film--although it's justified film leaving her midriff-exposed in that she's probably wearing a bikini underneath her main outfit for the film.and a casual outfit. Meanwhile Velma goes for more covering but location-appropriate attire.

* ArtisticLicenseHistory: When Manu is telling the story of the Wiki-Tiki, he mentions that the first settlers to Hawaii were a group of Portuguese on board the El Guerrero looking for new lands in 1815. In reality Hawaii had already seen foreign contact in 1778 (some evidence suggests earlier contact between 1422-1664). Hawaii was soon established as a modernized Empire by King Kamehameha with the help of the British in 1795, but in Manu's story, it looks like the island is still in the stone age. Other problems include the ship known as, El Guerrero, which in reality was a US ship, later given to the Spanish, but never the Portuguese. The explorers depicted are also oddly wearing plate armour and morion helmets, as if it was set in the 16th Century, as opposed to the 19th Century as Manu claims. [[spoiler:Then again, Manu may have been making the story up as part of the hoax.]]

* CutLexLuthorACheck: Briefly examined at the end, [[spoiler:because Manu being the top surfer in Hanahuna means jack for actually managing to persist off of the infrequent winnings alone, and Snookie's robotics and rocket degrees clearly didn't get her very far in life either to be working with Manu's scheme. The entire cause for the plot was them trying to scare everyone off and buy up the land to sell for some quick cash due to major money troubles as a result.. only for Scooby to make the mini-Tikis dance at the end for the party, implying if Snookie was less quick to be a criminal she could've perhaps used her work for other, more positive intentions.]]
