* BeingGoodSucks: Lamshaded by the comic's [[InWhichATropeIsDescribed tagline]]: "Being good never felt so bad!", which is PlayedForLaughs).

** Also seen during the series' second major crossover arc with ''Eerie Cuties'', when the wand literally had to drag her away from her date [[spoiler: with Ace]], to make her save [[spoiler: Brooke]] from Ash. Except Mel still [[http://www.eeriecuties.com/strips-ec/this_is_why_you_bother_me wasn't feeling it.]]

* BeingGoodSucks: The [[InWhichATropeIsDescribed subtitle]] is "Being good never felt so bad!" The main theme of the comic (albeit PlayedForLaughs). When [[spoiler:Hecate mind controls a pair of students to kill Tiffany and Faith]], Melissa attempts to stop her and ends up [[spoiler:as a MagicalGirl with an embarrassing outfit and a pushy wand]]. Later, when she finally gives in to the little girl's CatUpATree act, [[NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished she gets an over-sized cat dumped into her care]]. By contrast, Cerise's [[ManipulativeBastard manipulative]] and [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder backstabbing]] approach to gaining popularity is working out quite well. Some of the ads even lampshade it.
** However, Cerise's more recent situations have shown that approach isn't without their own problems. Using Skye to get closer to Callie led to Skye becoming evil and nearly killing Callie by wolf proxy, [[spoiler:and her recent attempt to dethrone Melissa backfired literally when Mel swatted Cerise's own fireball back at her.]]

** It was originally intended for readers to be able to follow the comic without having to read ''Webcomic/EerieCuties'', which worked for awhile. But after two major crossover stories, overlapping events, and a few cameos, [[SharedUniverse the two became so entwined]], that newer readers may not recognize the EC characters and aren't likely to get the {{callback}}s to earlier events, unless they pickup EC as well and start from the beginning.
** It was eventually acknowledged by the writers, who decided to do [[http://www.pixietrixcomix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=563524#p563524 a "soft reboot" of both series]], to make it easier for newer readers to pick up the comic.
