* AuraVision: All Fae have at least some ability to detect Mana. With training, they can detect far more, to the extent of detecting tainting and individual presences.

** OurFairiesAreDifferent: All mana bearing animals, such as Elves, Dragons, Nagas, and Driders, are classified as Fae.

** OurGodsAreGreater: Pre-Retcon, goddesses were the counterparts of demons and also lived in the nether realms. It was possible for priestesses to channel their powers. None of this is true post-Retcon. Instead, before the first demonic crisis Dark Elves worshiped the moon. In a following demonic crisis, Sharess shed her mortal body and became what a reverse-demon-thing, and fought the demons in their own realm and closed the nether gates from the inside. She was then revered by the Drow as a goddess. However, after the chapter reboots, her religion has been on the wane for a long time and is still practiced largely by the Kyorls. Going with this, her presence in the rebooted continuity is diminished greatly; indicating that her capabilities are severely diminished or that she's appears a lot less active in lives of the Drow. In time, other religious views came into existence that worshiped powerful demons as gods, largely by various nether cults such as the Vlozz'ress.

* Matriarchy: Dark elf and Drowlath society are largely of the flip variety. and Drowussu are technically patriarchal, but the Kyorl clan exclusively uses females as figureheads to maintain the Drowlath's respect.

This is how to insert a line break on this wiki.
However, by that point the comic had diverged far enough from its own changed setting that a redraw and Retcon was needed for remainder of chapter 2 up until chapter 8.

However, by that point the comic had diverged far enough from its own changed setting that a redraw and Retcon was needed for remainder of chapter 2 up until chapter 8. This, combined with the sheer number of pages (over 1400 in the main story alone) is part of the reason the world-setting is a bit of a ContinuitySnarl, especially for newer readers.

* Seers: Some people (supposedly) have the ability to look into the future. How it works is poorly understood, but WordOfGod states that it is a very unusual form of Empathy. WordOfGod eventually explains that they are not looking into the future at all. They are merely experiencing the senses and aspirations of other Fae.
