* AdultsAreUseless: Mrs. Sorkowitz and Principal Beau Vine. They often don`t do anything about reports of bullying no matter how many complaints are given against a student (most notably [[JerkJock Jeremy]]) simply because they didn`t see the alleged offense themselves or because they think it`s the victims fault for not conforming to the status quo.

* PottyEmergency: "[[https://ozyandmillie.org/2002/08/29/ozy-and-millie-972/ So I bought this stuff]]. The ad on TV said it's '''[[BoldInflation guaranteed]]''' to make me 'regular'!"

What makes this especially embarrassing is that U.F.O's ''genuinely don't exist'' in this universe.[[note]] At least to the dragon's knowledge.[[/note]]

* WilyWalrus: The "ambassador" that Bush sent to Greater Llewellynland was a walrus who refused to believe in dragons (the "ruler's" species) and mostly just laid about eating all the food.

* BlandNameProduct: Names like [[TabletopGame/MagicTheGathering Gathering: The Obsession]] pop up all the time unless Avery is involved.
* BrandX: Kablammo Soda, Frooty-Os...
* BullyingADragon: Jeremy's rich father literally tries to do that to Llewellyn, a fire-breathing dragon almost twice his size. This ends up with his Porsche ablaze. Llewellyn claims he had to sneeze due to the cloud of cologne that surrounded Jeremy's dad.

** Jeremy's father wears them even indoors.

* FakeBand: Mostly [[BoyBand boy groups]].

* GuestStrip: [[https://ozyandmillie.org/1999/04/01/ozy-and-millie-2160/ The first one]] was drawn by no-one less than Bill Holbrook of ''Webcomic/KevinAndKell''.

* IncrediblyLamePun:
** When Millie wonders why it's called "impeachment", [[https://ozyandmillie.org/1999/01/29/ozy-and-millie-157/ Ozy's punny reply makes her want to pour orange juice over him]].
** [[https://ozyandmillie.org/1999/12/06/ozy-and-millie-264/ Like father, like son]].
* InexplicablyAwesome: Llewellyn. And, in fact, dragons in general.

* LaughTrack: If anyone would [[InvokedTrope invoke]] this trope in a medium that doesn't even have any audio, it's [[https://ozyandmillie.org/2000/01/24/ozy-and-millie-295/ Millie]].

** [[https://ozyandmillie.org/2000/01/23/ozy-and-millie-294/ Even earlier]], Ozy implies that cutting tags off mattresses is a worse crime than music piracy.

* PopularIsDumb: Felecia seems to only be playing dumb to fit in with the popular crowd.

* AdultFear: After he [[spoiler: gets humiliated and brutally rejected by Felicia]] Stephen ends up running away from home to California. Considering that Stephen is still a child and he has`nt told anyone where he went, it was lucky that Ozys cousin Isolde spotted him while she was in the state herself. Stephen wasn`t harmed in any way [[spoiler: apart from getting humiliated by a CEO of a company he began to work for]] but [[FridgeHorror who knows what could have happened had Isolde not found him right away]].

* AFoolAndHisNewMoneyAreSoonParted: Timulty is given a lot of money just for mentioning that he knows something about the internet (the comic was parodying the dot com bubble before it burst). He immediately blows all of it on candy.

* FollowTheLeader: Not a proper version of this trope, but deserves mention: Avery. Avery, Avery, Avery. So desperate is he to be a part of the "in" crowd that he will suffer literally any indignity you'd care to throw his way, provided that you tell him, or imply, or otherwise obliquely hint that it's what the cool kids are doing these days.
** Avery is almost more of a ''parody'' of this personality type most of the time; while other people buy brand-name products to try to be trendy, Avery ''imitates their ad campaigns''.
