Unlike the other dead students, Komaeda doesn’t vanish from the story, making semi-regular appearances in his ''Komaeda Theatres'' and displaying the ability to possess Hinata. This could be due to odd circumstances surrounding his death at Teruteru's hands.
** It's possible he was KilledOffForReal instead of being rendered comatose, due to glitches, succumbing to his illnesses, etc. In short his ghost, or whatever it is that's left of him, is somehow able to interfere in the game after his actual death in the real world.
** He wasn’t deleted properly. When he was killed, his avatar was deleted but everything else wasn't, leaving him free to bother Hinata in his dreams but unable to formerly interact with anything.
