[[WMG: Something happened to Vanessa between the regular timeframe and ''Act Your Age'' to slow/stop/regress her age.]]
Vanessa (unlike the kids, Candace, and just about everyone else) doesn't look noticeably older. And she is dating Ferb, even though he is 18 and she should be 26/27. Sometime after the last day of summer, something happened to Vanessa to make it so she is only 19-20. Her aging was slowed down, she regressed in age, she was in stasis for a few years, she got jumped forward in time, or something. And given the MiloMurphysLaw stinger, it probably involved some sort of time travel experiment.

[[BillNyeTheScienceGuy Consider the following:]] in this episode, Carl says that he hates the smell of garlic. But in "Ain't No Kiddie Ride," Carl said he was born without nostrils, and thus couldn't smell anything. Well, what supernatural being hates garlic and is sometimes depicted with heightened senses? ([[InsaneTrollLogic Maybe a vampire bit Carl on the nose, and the indentations from the fangs are able to function as nostrils.]] Stupid, I know.) Also, he can apparently smell postage stamps in the episode "The Curse of Candace." You know, the episode where Candace thinks she's a vampire! Maybe Carl is the very same bat that bit Candace! Coincidence? Yeah, probably. But it would explain why his skin is so pale.

Beyond the first Christmas special(already confirmed by WordOfGod- and Jeremy selling his old guitar already implies this, if someone look to the episodes with his old guitar and the episodes that are chronologically anterior/in the same summer than said episodes by some motive.), the second Christmas special is in July, in one possible reference to the "Summer's route" in 'I, Brobot'. Following TheOtherWiki page to Summer, Mid-Summer, the day of 'Attack of the Fifty Foot Sister' is the Summer's solstice. In other words, this episode is in a different summer than 'Summer Belongs To You'. And, finally, 'Where's Perry?' is one of the few episodes that is definitively after the "official" start of the Candace/Jeremy romance in 'Summer Belongs To You'.

** Along with genetics, D's mom may have recognized stuff in her son that she'd seen in her hybrid dad, [[http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WMG/WhoFramedRogerRabbit]]. She sided with D's dad in punishments to develop her errant son's comic side, at least so he'd survive ''as a Toon''. Notice how the future Dr. was punished much more than his "normal" brother, yet in absurd ways such as being a lawn gnome.

* Can't say anything definite, since we don't know a lot about the movie, but that seems a little like a BrokenAesop or a FamilyUnfriendlyAesop in this context. If you look up Film/MrsDoubtfire on the latter's page, you'll see a point about how "Sometimes, people are better parents if they are divorced.", which fits the show itself, since it was an attempt to portray a happy blended family. In Heinz and Charlene's case, the FamilyUnfriendlyAesop page also covers another point: it would give a false hope to kids whose parents have divorced. So I'm not prematurely saying that this is {{Jossed}}, I'm just trying to think it all the way through-- you know, because [[TheDevTeamThinksOfEverything the writers think of everything]].
