* It will become orphaned when Fred dies of old age before finishing it. Even with his latest attempt to have more regular updates, things just keep getting more complicated. The VN project has spurred him into action and given him something to live on, but the rate of updates and the pace of the plot imply it will just keep getting complicated. On top of that, he's said he doesn't believe in 'endings' as such, implying he'll just keep going until it turns into slice of domestic life with characters paired off.

:On a more optimistic note (18 months after the above was written), Fred has done amazingly well to keep things going in spite of all the difficulties. Chapter 11 is now all but finished, and so much has been resolved that there may well be only one more chapter to go. The success of the Kickstarter proved that he still has a substantial fanbase. Let's not give up hope just yet.

Or [[spoiler: at least one of the Lain's.]] This is based completely around her hairstyle, but think about it.

Whle I'm here, I'm WildMassGuessing that [[VideoGame/GrandTheftAuto Grand Theft Colo]] and unMod are alternate server games that the players enter to unwind in their free time, and ''Circuity'' was an {{Omake}} for the mOh/Girl Phase combined story (not unlike the more serious one that the DotHack universe had) released as two special events.

** I like the idea, but here is a counter one: The less-crazy Largo we know from the start of the series is his hiding/vacation mode, when he is trying not to attract attention from various sources. After all, the first trip to Tokyo was just supposed to be a break/vacation/shopping trip. Largo had no need to be his normal crazy/CrazyAwesome self. However, when he realized that Tokyo is as dangerous as it is, then he got himself back into his "normal" self, and started be the epic l33t-speaker we know and love.

* Do we ever see casualties? We see buildings destroyed, but since these events are planned, they could be evacuated beforehand. Then there's all of the MagicalGirls and Ninjas running about, protecting civilians. There may in fact be no casualties; there's no way Tokyo could posibly function with such a high death toll.

[[WMG: The comic will become an OrphanedSeries]]
I hate to say it, but life just keeps getting worse for Fred. Everyone in his family including himself now has had serious medical issues. The series often goes weeks without an update. The formerly substantial fanbase has dwindled down to nothing. The business side of MT also suffers delays due to Fred having to run everything himself (because of Sarah's lymphoma). Something's got to give. Fred's already been going through CreatorBreakdown since 2009, so there's a good chance of him shattering completely and going back to a real job to pay the bills.
This list shows the last 10 events of 54. Show all.
