This is because mortals need to be [[spoiler: rid of their negative parts in order to get into Heaven, so perhaps the the Celestials be any different.]] It would go a long way to explaining the vast power the Forgotten wields that needs a Celestial's mana supply to push back and would add a deeper layer to its title, as it would be [[spoiler: the ''forgotten'' dark aspects of the Celestials]]. After all, the Forgotten does seem to be a demon itself, just one on a higher level of might compared to others.

Just think about it. Heaven and Heck (that's its name here) have been in war for thousands of years. So in the possible scenario that the denizens of Heck might get unleashed on Earth, the Demigods would be prepared against them with a champion or group of champions with enough powers to battle against them, earn victory and seal them again forever or at least for a couple thousand years. At first it was easy to get the players to follow the game, given that back in the ancient times everybody worshipped any god and back then, the idea of becoming a god's champion was the greatest reward ever, so that brought us Satau and Ptah as examples, a dog and a cat from 5000 BC times that were in a battle competition to earn Spirit Dragon's favor to become her personal avatar. But with the passing of time, the change of mind of mortals towards religions and myths brought boredom to the Celestials, enough to just play the game for the fun and not the apocalyptic implications. Later, with the events from the end of Heaven's Not Enough arc, the game stopped, Pete and Dragon's recent crimes of abussive godly behaviour against their avatars earned them a sentence of living a life as powerless mortals, the current avatars lost their powers and there were no chosen champions, meaning that the Earth is totally defenceless against the [[spoiler: current demon invasion]]. We're still to see how Kitsune's last minute chosen ones, [[spoiler: Tarot, Keene, Marion, Lois, Todd and whoever joins later]] will help in stopping this.

Say Dragon didn't get to do that, and Pete chose Peanut as his avatar. There's still one big problem: Peanut's crush on Grape, with or without their later "[[RelationshipUpgrade mushiness]]", would have definitely thwarted Pete's need for Peanut to be a ChasteHero.
