[[WMG: Kin and Kon get their Rock Lore from a BigBookOfEverything]]
The reason Kin and Kon know so much about Rock Lore is because they have a book about stories from Rock Lore. It was compiled by one of their ancestors who travelled the world collecting Rock Lore stories and the like (Kon mentions in the final episode that he and Kin know of the Samban Doomsday story because they have a doomsday calendar passed down their family for generations and "it hath been ''written'' in Rock Lore"). However, there are a lot of gaps in the book's information due to being written in code/having pages missing/something like that ("Facts are hazy in Rock Lore", Kon says once). For this reason, Kin and Kon fill in the blanks in Rock Lore by making up their own stuff (hence a few elements of Rock Lore seen in the show like minor inconsistencies or moments where the two say they made up stuff).

[[WMG: Corey and Laney are ChildhoodFriends]]
The two seem much closer to each other than either are to Kin and Kon, referring to each other by {{Affectionate Nickname}}s only they ever use. WordOfGod also confirms that Laney’s house is next to Corey’s. Thus it seems highly plausible that, like Trina and Mina, Corey and Laney are longtime friends (possibly starting when Corey moved into the neighborhood after he and Trina were adopted), with Kin and Kon entering the picture only relatively recently (perhaps only a few years before they formed Grojband).

Furthermore, Kin and Kon might have been each other’s OnlyFriend before meeting Corey and Laney. The two have a very strong sibling bond and WordOfGod states they are seen as freaks by the other kids at their school. Not hard to imagine them befriending Corey and Laney shortly after meeting them as a result (perhaps after moving to Peaceville from elsewhere; maybe Japan, given their background).

Rocklympus. However, that does still make them the spawn of a supernatural being, so Trina's RealityWarper powers being the result of such origins still wouldn't be out of the question.

Let's see... The series was made in Canada, the art style has some similarities. Other similarities: The Power of Rock. People having weird superpowers, or things resembling superpowers (with Trina altering the environment around her when she goes diary). The overall craziness of the whole show. Sounds showing up in written form on-screen. Heck, [[BreakingTheFourthWall being self-aware was also something from Scott Pilgrim]]. The reason the video game elements from Scott Pilgrim haven't shown up yet is that Grojband is too young for them to manifest, while Trina is probably somewhere near the age when it really starts. Eh, this is WMG, so why not. Plus, Trina has the profile to be a future evil ex.

Even though he's referred in the show proper as Larry, the creators state his name is Lenny. To solve this conundrum, we can look to the fact that there are [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_name#Middle_name_as_primary_name many people in real life who go by their middle names.]] Thus, it's completely possible that his ''real'' first name is Lenny (probably short for Leonard), but he prefers to go by his middle name of Larry (short for Lawrence?).

Credit to [[https://artist-emerald.tumblr.com/post/149101874483/the-pink-and-blue-stars-theory Artist-Emerald]] for this theory, which was just too good not to share.

WordOfGod states that the Blue Star of Rocklympus seen in "Six Strings of Evil" has a female counterpart called the Pink Star, which is apparently already in Trina's possession and was responsible for turning her into the cruel and hateful girl we see in the show (the Blue Star was shown to turn Corey evil when it possessed him). Seeing that Trina seems to carry her diary literally everywhere, it's possible the Pink Star is in plain sight in the form her diary and may in fact be not only what's making her evil, but also the source of her Diary Mode powers.

Laney's habit of pointing out how Corey's Final Thoughts (which he ONLY comes up with at the END of an episode) could make for great lyrics suggest that Corey is only capable of coming up with lyrics through exposure to a particularly strong experience of some sort (such as a crazy musical adventure with his three best friends or pieces of writing fuelled by the overdramatic emotions of a teenage girl). Given how in the GrandFinale, he realized he should be writing his Final Thoughts down as they'd make great lyrics, it's possible that Corey could solve his lyrics problem by keeping a diary of his own to record his own experiences and his thoughts on them.

Seriously, he is nice to pretty much everyone but her, and seemingly takes a chance to insult and degrade her whenever he feels it's apropriate ("Nick Mallory doesn't dig abominations", Nick Mallory knows someone who could use a mint... you!"), so it's probable he is simply leading her on to cause her misery. Which, depending on who you ask, it's either karma, or him being a bigger asshole than her.

It makes sense--she has a nasty attitude, she possesses the power to warp reality when she blows her cork, and she's voiced by Creator/AlysonCourt (Lydia Deetz). Trina is the secret love child of the ghost with the most and that nice but socially-awkward teenage girl from Peaceful Pines. Some poor schlub unwittingly adopted this demon daughter, whose hormonal and borderline murderous antics terrorizes another quiet whitebread subburb.

[[WMG: Kin and Kon are OnlyKnownByTheirNickname]]
Their names are probably meant to be shorthand for some longer Japanese name (like Kintaro and Konosuke). They probably prefer being called by shorthand form because it emphasizes their status as twins (their official bio from the production blog states they love reminding others of it).

[[WMG: Trina will mellow out as she gets older]]
She's basically meant to be an exaggerated, over-the-top version of the classic angsty, overdramatic BrattyTeenageDaughter, and a few episodes have shown she UsedToBeASweetKid, so it wouldn't be surprising if she became more well-adjusted and less psychotic when she hits adulthood. If anything, it's possible Mina's epic tirade against her in the GrandFinale will likely be the wake-up call she needs to start maturing.

[[WMG: Corey doesn't specifically need Trina's diary to write lyrics, just intense experiences]]
